The paint work itself was satisfactory and the workers were good, clean and friendly. However the experience from the owner was poor. We needed direction regarding color. He did not help us with that, although he wanted to start the job within one day. He promised to be on site at some point during the job to check in. He didn't. We paid one of the workers directly who was going to deliver the check to the owner. The owner never followed up to ask about satisfaction, and aside from giving us the original estimate, we never saw him again. We will need some additional paint work done next year and will hire another company. He took the money and ran.

The two painters worked for 5 days on prepping, repairing, and painting the exterior of my home.  The work was top notch, and they listened to all of my feedback and requests.  In the end, I was VERY happy with their work.  I interviewed 3 companies for the job and found that J&J Painting had the best price. I'd definitely hire them again.

repairs to plaster that are already cracking through; overspray on my hardwood floors; paint already peeling; Stated they would come back and clean and fix issues twice... no show.   Then saw them at the Atlanta Home Show... they said they would make it right... no call... no show.   I am now paying another painter to repair the work they did.  I had the hardwood floors sanded to get all the overspray off the floors

We contracted with J&J to paint the exterior of our home and several interior rooms.   We agreed to a price  of $8400 for the project.  During the interview process Jordan boasted that he wouldn’t ask for any money until the job was done and offered that he accepted credit cards.
Prior to the job being done Jordan asked for payment.  We reminded him of his promise and he said he  had a lot of bills to pay associated with our job.  We made a partial payment of $7,000 and agreed to pay the  balance when the work was done.
The last day of scheduled work, instead of charging us  the $1400 that was owed, Jordan charged us  $1800. When we called to ask about the $400 in extra charges that appeared on our credit card statement he said that $200 was for credit card processing and $200 was for extra material.   We never discussed the extra charges and certainly didn’t give him authorization to charge our credit card for them.
For over 60 days we tried to resolve the issue with Jordan.  In a text message Jordan referred to himself as “sorry” for not handling the situation and promised to send a check.  He took a picture of the check he claimed to have written and we never received it.   As a last result, we disputed the over charge with our credit company.   Now we have received copies of altered quotes from our credit card company with the $400 for materials and credit charges added after the fact.   Jordan is a dishonest man who shouldn’t be trusted.

"This was kept between my partner and the [member name removed]'s for a couple months. As soon as I found out about the situation, I drove to [member name removed]'s business and paid him the difference in cash. This issue has been resolved."

Hired these guys based on an initial contact at a home and garden show. The owner came out to provide an estimate. Our house was 14 years old, and had never been repainted. Some of the planks on the porch had gotten rotten and the deck in the back was getting mildewy.
The bottom line is that while the price was a bit more than I was originally hoping for, the job was done impeccably. They told me that their team would be by 8 am each morning, and they were always waiting out by the curb at 7:50. They spent the entire first day doing nothing but an extensive pressure-wash cleaning. The quality of the paint job was beyond reproach. Further, after discussing with me, they replaced about six planks on the front porch and painted the entire thing with a heavy duty gritty paint that looks great and feels great walking on it. It also is something that can be easily cleaned.
Our porch looks great, the house looks great, the deck looks great, and the job was done on schedule. I would use them again.

They were very prompt in their responses and did a great job. They kept their cool even after I changed colors numerous times. There were multiple colors throughout the house with a lot of detail on moldings in varying colors. . Their service was excellent. They did the outside of my house matching the color exactly and gave me custom mixed colors to choose from for the trim.

They take pride in their work. They were very reasonable in price. They came when they said they would. They were very knowledgable. Before they did any work they okayed it with my husband. They made everything look nice when they were done, they even painted our chimney. Previously, we had used them to remove wallpaper in our kitchen and paint the walls and we were very happy with those results, as well. On both occasions, they cleaned up after themselves when they were done with the work. The price reflects the outside work done.

There were numerous issues with the work done by J&J Painting of Georgia. For starters, they used flat paint when we had discussed using satin. There was also a lot of missing and splitting caulk and peeling paint in many, many locations on the house once they were done. The level of care that was given to my property was negligible at best. They got so much paint on places that it shouldn’t have been, such as my front porch, walkway, driveway, new deck, shingles on my (less than a year old) roof, and even the keypad for my garage door and door mats. They came out a second time, but did not resolve all of the issues even though I provided them with a detailed list. Additionally, the big issue remaining was the paint they got on over 30 shingles and a gutter they damaged. Paint cannot be removed from shingles without damaging the integrity of the shingles so they will all have to be replaced by a roofing company, not a painting company. I sent one of the owners email after email explaining the issues with the damage they caused to my roof shingles and a gutter and the required repair. I offered for him to come and see the damage for himself and forwarded an estimate I received from a roofing company. He never replied. I took the matter to the BBB, and he finally replied there knowing that a non-reply is an automatic F-rating. However, he attempted to deny that his crew caused the damage and tried to blame a contractor I had doing some work before they pained who never once had a paint brush in his hand. In one of his BBB responses, he copied and pasted a thank you email I sent to his field manager, but he intentionally deleted the middle of the message where I said there were still issues. He continually skirted the real issue of the damage his company cannot repair by offering to come out and fix paint problems (which I was not requesting). In the end, he refused to refund me the amount it is going to take to hire a roofer to repair the damage caused by his employees. I definitely would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

Their estimate was a little higher than 2 others, but they came recommended and they seemed "honest". We went over, in detail, all the repair work we wanted prior to painting (replace all rotten wood, replace bottom 2 rows of siding with Hardiplank, replace or repair chimney cap, realign gutters in back where we had trouble). All was agreed on and they started work. Crew was nice and punctual. They cleaned up after the job. Jordan initially thought they could replace the chimney cap for a great price, then came back and said it was not standard size and could cost considerably more. We decided to just sand and paint. No problem (although we were a bit upset). After job was done, there were some bubbles on a window frame and door frame and the gutter alignment was worse (water pouring down behind the gutter ). We initially requested new gutters, but they said ours were fine, they would just paint. It took over 4 mos.(countless phone messages with no replies, no response to email either) to get the to repair the paint bubble issue, and they never fixed the gutter problem. (i finally had to file a complain with the BBB - and that took another 6 weeks). They did NOT replace the 2 rows of siding, did not caulk around doors or some windows (and we now have major water damage from a window) and we have water damage from the gutters. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone
