First visit went well. Tech/owner came out and evaluated the situation and wrote up what needed to be done. No prices on that list. Company was doing warranty work for American Home Shield. Work was performed in a timely manner and when invoice was presented it was paid by CC. This was a pre-prepared invoice for work that was expected to be done based on first visit. We noticed a charge for 150 for ductwork (none was replaced; the tech used what was already there). In spite of that we paid the bill for 285.00. Today my husband called and complained that no filter was installed in the A/C and wanted to know the size of filter to purchase. He was given the runaround all day. At the end of the day they told him that he had not paid everything and they would not do anything else for him and hung up on him (Ashley). We never received any additional billing from this company by email or mail. We have a perfect credit rating and have always paid our bills. The way this company treated us was unethical and uncivilized and I would not recommend anyone use this company. The office people are very rude and if the owner had any sense he'd replace Ashley. I retired from Chick-fil-A Corp and I can tell you that one of their main mottos is "The Customer is always right." This company would do good to take that to heart and give the customer the benefit of the doubt and try to solve the problem and not be so rude. It must be nice to have so much business that the employees don't care how they treat people. I have requested from AHS that they provide a list of contractors before we use anyone that they recommend in the future. Thank you Patrice E Garner 404.421.0785 [email protected]

Outdoor unit required a new capacitor. The work was performed quickly and effectively, and the unit has worked without problem for the last six months. I will definitely use these guys again.

Epic Air was sent out through my home warranty to fix my furnace. The first time they came out the system worked for less than a day. The second time they came out they said that the system needed parts, 3 days later they contacted me to say that the parts weren't available and that the home warranty company would be replacing my furnace. Third visit they replace my furnace, during the install my gas shut off valve was busted and they allowed approximately 30-40% of a 500 gallon propane tank to leak into my home. I was not aware of the massive leak until later however directly after the install there was water pouring from the unit. Upon inspection I found that they had incorrectly connected my exhaust vent and it was leaking everywhere. Being as I am kind of handy I decided it was easier for me to replace the incorrectly installed union and reseal it myself, the condensation stopped leaking. I was happy to be through with them... but I wasn't. Three days later more water begins leaking from the unit, they come out a fourth time to find that the brand new condensation trap was leaking. Fifth visit they replace the faulty trap, then the real headache begins. It dawns on me that I should check my gas usage after 3 days of having a working furnace, that's when I find that my tank had been depleted by such a massive amount. I call on a Wednesday and speak to Sandy she tells me that she will speak to here manager and call me back. I called each day through the next Monday, finally on Monday afternoon they pick up and Sandy tells me that there is nothing they can do for me. Needless to say I am furious, I am out $385 worth of propane and now trying to get the home warranty company to help me. I will NEVER let EPIC Air back into my home.

Dave Michaels of Epic Air is a true professional. He came out promptly to assess and give an estimate. He researched specials through his manufacturers to get me the best price. He discovered that his Rheem supplier had a special that would offer a higher efficiency unit for only $200 more, which I took. He and one other colleague came out within the same week at around 8:30 (when they said they would), tore out the old unit, installed the new, cleaned the area, cleaned the dryer vent and hose while they were here and cleaned up and carted off all debris--all by 3:30. I have since referred them to several people. It was a painless experience and I heartily recommend Epic Air!

Work was completed on the AC unit first. Would not hold a charge, so tech had to come back and fix leak. Once leak was fixed, unit would not cool house under 73 degrees with outside temps in the 80's. Old unit would cool without issues. Was told that the new high efficiency system was better for energy savings, but could not cool as effectively as old unit. Dave suggested that we add a larger fan to push more airflow through vents. Replaced heater to get larger 4 ton fan installed. Once installed, unit still would not cool any better. Blamed the vents and said that if they were rigid runs and not flex hose would have worked much better. Being flex hose, they are not as efficient. We then had a specialist come in and assess the issues from the AC manufacturer Rheem. He concluded that the issues were with the cooling tower box and vents along with the restricted flow of the filter.
I made the obvious conclusion that the older system had worked without any issues and that if the compressor had not gone out that it would still be cool. I was told that the new high effieciency systems will require more work to get same results and that I should consider replacing all vent runs to rigid and getting free flow filter along with replacing the cooling tower box. I should also mention that unfortunately during the install of the heater in the attic, the tech fell through my ceiling requiring additional drywall repairs.
I am now faced with less cooling and humid air for the upstairs of my home and no way of repairing unless I add units or replace existing vents or components.

Our furnace was having problems on the first cold snap of the year. Dave was timely in responding to the call for help we sent to our home warranty service. He diagnosed the problem and got the unit up and running in no time. I was impressed by his knowledge and professionalism.

Both techs were punctual, even checked the other HVAC system on top level (at no cost). Installed Rheem unit. Would definitely recommend Epic Air - excellent service, price, installation and punctual.
