"We had used this company before and were very pleased with the results we got.
CARPETING
Approximately 1/2 of our home has hardwood flooring that is mopped every two weeks; the carpeting is vacuumed every two weeks.   We didn't get our carpeting cleaned until we'd already lived here (in a home that had not been lived in before us)  We had already lived here 2.5 yrs before we had the carpeting cleaned, and our carpeting was d-i-r-t-y because our daughter decided to 'dog sit' a friend's 1/2-wolf dog (and that dog toileted on almost every room with carpeting).    It was a horrible welcome home gift; however, I decided to search Angie's List for someone who could help.   Long story short - Brad was able to remove every single urine and poo stain.  EVERY stain was gone and our house smelled good again.   -- Our daughter had spilled Dr Pepper on her bedroom carpeting, which Brad worked at and removed.   Whew!
AREA RUGS
We have both a small and a large area rug at the entrances of our home, and they were incredibly dirty.  The were clean, clean, clean when Brad was finished with them.
UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE
There were no major spills or stains on the upholstered furniture; however, we thought it would be a good idea to have it cleaned just to help maintain the furniture.   Afterwards we did notice a reduction in lint/fuzzies on our clothing after sitting on the furniture Brad had cleaned.   And, although we didn't think our furniture was dirty because we vacuum it and it had no stains -- it did look cleaner afterwards, too.

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

The process usually takes 1-2 weeks, and it is highly influenced by the materials, complexity of the project, and any customization desired.

It is often worthwhile to refinish or restore furniture, especially for high-quality, older, antique, or sentimental pieces. Older furniture tends to have better durability than modern, mass-produced items, and refinishing can cost about one-third of the price of replacement. To determine if it's cost-effective, compare quotes from local refinishing services with the price of a new, similar piece. Refinishing can refresh a piece's look and extend its lifespan. However, it may not be worth it for newer furniture made of medium-density fiberboard (MDF) or plywood, or for items with major structural damage. A professional can help you assess the piece and decide on the best course of action.

To safeguard your furniture and upholstered items, it's best to use plastic wrap or specially-made plastic sofa covers. However, you should avoid wrapping wooden furniture in plastic if you plan on storing it, as plastic can trap moisture and warp the wood, plus it may damage certain finishes. In either case, old blankets or moving blankets make excellent alternatives. For protecting delicate glass table tops and mirrors, bubble wrap is always a reliable choice.

Craftsmanship begins with detailed design followed by skilled artisans shaping high-quality materials into the desired furniture, ensuring durability and uniqueness.

The time required to reupholster furniture depends on the item's size, complexity, and condition. The hands-on work can range from 2-3 hours for a simple dining chair to 10 to 20 hours for a large sofa. The total project timeline with a professional, including fabric sourcing and scheduling, typically ranges from one to three weeks.

Several factors can affect the timeline. Antique furniture often takes longer due to the delicate care required. If additional repairs are needed, such as sanding or refinishing wood components, the process will also take more time. A DIY reupholstery project will usually take significantly longer than a professional job.
