Cabinet Making
The home was not built to drawing from the ground up. Foundations were not tied down when they poured the concrete. General contractor was never on site. I called him every week to correct construction errors. Their framers could not shoot a straight nail. The so called staining of all the wood furnishings looked like finger paint. One of the cabinet doors literally fell apart when I opened it. After the house was finished, I noticed the second floor window was inset into the roof Soffit! They had short cut the height of the whole house. The outside deck was just thrown together with warped pieces of wood and nails shot in all directions. I had them repair it as best as they could. The front porch was another short cut that is now following apart. Again, materials were not to drawing specifications as they try to go cheap as much as possible. The windows and doors were not properly sealed. I have major water intrusion causing the hard wood floors to lift by the back door. I have roof leaks in multiple places and am having to get these things professionally repaired. I have major settling cracks most likely due to the poor foundation. I had a water pipe separate and flood the crawl space. When I went to repair it, I found no sign of primer and glue on the fittings. The biggest issue was the short cut on the house attic that caused the window problem. His solution was to install smaller windows! When I asked him way he was never on the site, Mr Cleghorn told me "since you were out there so much I didn't feel the need". I told him " I can't believe you just told me that". This is real and my house is the proof as all these quality issues still exist for all to see. I have not mentioned everything, but I have kept an entire log.
