Vital Point Electric,LLC

Right from the start, this provider set himself apart from other contractors. He was prompt, professional, and friendly. We took him around and mentioned everything we hoped to get done. He wrote up a quote, which we accepted. This house that we live in is quirky, and I kept noticing how he would just handle it. When part of our house required an unusual fix, he would just go to the store, get the unusual part, and get it done. When all the work was complete, I remember thinking that he had done more than he quoted us for, but he never made us feel bad about it, nor did he try to charge extra. Instead, he left us feeling like we had someone we could trust to do a great job, consistently, for a reasonable fee.

He was on time, got the job done quickly, a pleasure to talk to and even connected my cable to my desk top surge protection system at no additional charge.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The gentle man was great. His price is reasonable.

The technician, Eddie, had to order a replacement part which took about a week to arrive.  Once installed, there was a problem with the function of the lamp.  But, he returned promptly to correct the problem. 
Eddie was extremely polite and professional, which made for a pleasant experience.

This is my second time using Vital Point Electric.  I was as pleased this time as I was with the last service performed.  Mr. Santiago actually helped me with choosing the best lighting placement and made suggestions I had not thought of before.  To start with I have low ceilings, (8ft).  I had a hanging ceiling fan with a light that hung low enough that if you raised your hands you would hit the fan blades, (i'm 5'4).  I knew I wanted recessed lighting but was not quite sure how to place them.  Mr. Santiago suggested a flush mount ceiling fan with no light kit.  He also suggested an accent light in front of the fireplace, (which I love!). 
Mr. Santiago arrived promptly and had all the equipment he needed.  I have hardwood floors and he was carful to cover them before he started work.  Forgive me here if I use the wrong terminology but because of the type of ceiling fan previously installed I could not tell that the 'electrical box' in the ceiling, (that the fan was connected to), was mounted incorrectly.  This meant when Mr. Santiago installed the flush mounted ceiling fan, it would not sit flush against the ceiling.  It took more time, (and was really was an extra cost), but Mr. Santiago fixed it and then reinstalled the ceiling fan at no additional charge. 
I wasnt aware of this before but I have a number of pipes, and duct work in my ceilings, (I'm on a concrete slab so I dont have a basement or crawlspace).  Mr. Santiago was careful about working around all of this without damaging anything. (He had to work the lighting placement around these obsticles as well).
As I am working on house renovations a little at a time I will be calling Vital Point Electric again for my bedroom and bathrooms.  I won't post everytime I have work done, but I will keep you posted on other things as well.  I am really pleased with the quality of the work performed and the professionalism shown by Vital Point.

Vital Point was very respectful of my home.  They took extra care and precaution with the ladders to avoid scratching the floors or hitting the walls.  And, there was NO MESS!  They used drop cloths to catch any falling debris, and cleaned up.  I didn't have to do any follow-up cleaning at all.

I had the fluorescent light in my kitchen taken out and had seven can lights, (recessed lighting), installed.  i also had two pendant lights installed over the bar counter.  The kitchen is downstairs with rooms above it so there was no access above the ceiling.
There was no previous lighting over the bar counter so everything had to be installed from scratch. Mr. Santiago was very helpful.  I wasn't sure what type of "cans" i wanted, cone shaped or open at the top.  Both types were installed so that I could look at them and choose.  Mr. Santiago was very patient when answering questions and was knowledgable about his job.
He explained that additional holes are sometimes necessary when a ceiling has no above access.  We were given recommendations for repair men as Vital Point specializes in electrical work, not sheetrock.  Only two small extra holes needed to be made and I was pleasantly surprised at the pains taken by Mr. Santiago to cover them.  They are not very noticeable now. 
We still have to paint over the rather drab burgundy walls in the kitchen but the change the lighting has made in the room!  The work was very well done!  Of all the home improvements I have made, wood flooring added, kudzu removed, privacy fence installed, wallpaper removed etc.,  this is by far my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!  I left the lights on in the kitchen half the night just because I could not believe how very different a room can look when you change the lighting.  GREAT JOB!  Not sure if I can upload pictures but I will be glad to share them if asked, (Not that they do justice to the room!)
