Bishop Thiem Septic Tank
About us
Bishop-Thiem Septic Service, Inc. was established in 1962 by Mr. Bishop. Mr. Bishop started the business while he worked at Delta full-time and did a lot of pumping at Hartsfield International Airport (now known as Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport). Ron Thiem, purchased the company from Mr. Bishop in 1999 after 10 years of service under Mr. Bishop. Mr. Bishop always insisted on quality, thorough, and honest work. Under Ron’s leadership, Bishop-Thiem Septic Service, Inc. continued to carry that philosophy forward. In 2015 Ron's daughter, Kevi Schram purchased the company with every intention to uphold the previous integrity and philosophy in years to come. When we make an appointment we will make it on time or we will call the customer. All questions or complaints are answered immediately and adjustments are made as necessary. When they arrived I wasn't overly impressed. It was two guys looking rather unprofessional. I think one was in a t-shirt and the other might have had a uniform on but looked sloppy. I have rocks that have more personality than these guys. I tried to engage them in conversation and talk about the problems we were experiencing and I got almost zero response. They just started poking in the dirt and started digging up my yard with hardly a word or eye contact. My septic tank is right underneath a garden bed that has ornamental grasses so I asked if they could be careful and at least set the ornamental grasses to the side. He gave literally no response and walked off to get the track-hoe. While he was doing that I took it upon myself to grab a shovel and quickly dig up 6-8 ornamental grasses and set them to the side. I understand they have to dig up yards, but a little courtesy would have been nice. So they proceeded to do their thing and one of the guys warmed up just a little and was trying to explain what the problems could be but he didn't really give me much confidence because of his lack of professionalism. They covered everything back up and left, leaving a large grey spot in my driveway that the truck exhaust left.
Overall, I was not very satisfied. They did what they said they would do and they were punctual, but there was MUCH to be desired from a professionalism standpoint.
Today, we had standing water and smell in the yard so I called them back to see about them checking it out. I got put on hold twice for an elapsed time of 10 minutes. I hung up and I'm trying out Precision Septic. I'll update after having them service my septic.
"[member name removed], we are NOT the company that did this work. We are the company the came AFTER the company you think we are. We are the one's that actually fixed the problem. We replaced the lid and tee on your tank. You'd told me it was Bishop who performed the first work, we are Precision. Please contact Angie's List and remove this review. Thank you Steve"
