our Ac unit stopped working. we contacted Westside for service our 2nd service call. They have gone down hill. they charged us $99 for the service call. Immediately they pushed us to add coolant. They then told us it was probably due to leak and that they could search for leak but it would cost us $225 . 5 minutes later they said oh no its the evaporator coil that went bad. All for this they charges us $525 . the next day they said labor alone would cost us $1400 even though part was under warranty. we went to another AC repair. they had everything done at $615. last time I wouls use Westside.

Cris Cliett and his crew did an excellent job installing a new Rheem heat pump and air handler in our home. Westside has always done excellent work, and they continue to do so. We are very pleased and the house is cool and the system is quiet.

This was a great experience. They did not install system orginally but still repaired the parts under warranty. From setting the appointment (they technician was at my house within 45 minutes from call), to the cleaning up after himself, excellent experience. System repaired quickly and the technician even recommended some ways that we could better utilize the system.

I was extremely pleased with the service and professionalism provided by Westside Heating and Air. This company was recommended to me by a neighbor who has used them for many years. When my HVAC system finally succumbed to age, I interviewed five heating and air companies to find the best one for what I needed. Westside was the last company I interviewed. For the evaluation and estimate, Chris showed up to my home on time and took measurements and looked at the areas of my home, the layout, and the location of the registers. He took a lot of time to educate me on what he felt would best suit my needs. Because I had already spoken to four other companies, I already knew the basics and was prepared to hear the same. Not so. Chris proposed several innovative ideas for relocation on new units based on the layout of my home. That was actually what sold me on Westside. Chris took me up to the attic and pointed out what he would recommend on unit placement, duct reconfiguration and more importantly, why he thought it would better suit my needs. He recommended shortening many very long duct lines for better and more efficient heating/cooling. So after hearing everything and getting the estimate for two complete new Rheem systems (one upstairs, one downstairs), Westside was the easy choice. They were not the cheapest but they were the most responsive and the cost was the second lowest of the five estimates I received. I got a very good warranty also.
Other companies that came to evaluate my home for a new system were good too. They all had different brands - Amana, Trane, etc. and after a heck of a lot of research, I found every single HVAC brand had positives and negatives. I was comfortable with Rheem since one of the previous Rheem units lasted 23 years. I don't expect that to happen again but one can hope.
The installation went great. Westside assigned two teams to my home to put in both systems in one day. Steve, the team chief did a great job. Jack, Harrison, Cory, and Jantzen were the other team members. They arrived on time at 9am, broke for lunch, came back and had everything in and working by 6pm. I also received new thermostats. One was a wi-fi thermostat that was extremely easy to program. They took away all my old equipment, cleaned up, and were completely professional. It was a big job under difficult conditions because of the heat, the size and bulk of the equipment, and the narrow attic stairs. But they guys didn't complain - they did their job, were polite, and respectful of my home and time. And although less than a week has passed since the installation, I can say that everything is working great and I have peace of mind again. I definitely recommend Westside Heating and Air.

The experience went well. Westside was very responsive. They came out right away and several times thereafter, until the system was operational. We found the pricing to be reasonable. The repairmen were very courteous.

My heat would not turn on due to a faulty thermostat. On 1/1/13 I called Westside the tech responded immediately and told me it would be $140 for the service call on a holiday. That was fine. He was excellent, prompt and installed a resonably priced thermostat ($50) . After a week , I noticed my heat would not turn off. Westside returned on 1/14/13. This tech was short with me, condensending and finally agreed the thermostat was not functioning. Instead of replacing the original one, he told me all he had was a $160 thermostat to sell me for more. I had to pay $305 total for a thermostat and install that could have been purchase for $60 at Lowes.

We had a "No Hassle" experience with Westside Heating and Air. We would recommend them to family and friends. Their price was several hundred dollars more than the highest of the other three estimates, but we chose them because their representative (Chris) was punctual, professional, and knowledgeable, with an attitude of service without pressure. At the time, there was a manufactor's rebate that Westside participated in, so we ended up paying less. Chris was careful to make sure the system met all the requirements to get the Federal Energy Rebate and answered all (We'd done our research) our questions. He told us exactly what was going to be done and sent us a written copy. The installers were here on time, respected our home, and did exactly what was proposed. Chris came by several times during the day, to check on the work and the progress. When the job was completed, we were given instructions on operating the system, and any questions we had were answered. And yes, they cleaned up the mess! Service after the sale: I needed some assistance with the rebate process, and the office staff was willingly helpful. She promptly sent in the information, and followed-up to make sure it was received. Four months later, as a result of the hard rains, we noticed a small leak on the ceiling near the unit. Assuming it came from the opening for the venting pipe for the unit, I called Westside and explained the problem. I was told that someone would be out the next morning to check it. The serviceman was here a few minutes before the scheduled time, (shoes off at the door) went up into the attic and found where the water was coming in. Because of the location, he wasn't sure if it was from the opening for the pipe, but said that he was going up on the roof to check it. He did, couldn"t really tell, but said, "Ma'am I seal it again "really" good, but if you have more problems, call us." It worked. Even with a later storm - no more leak. Very satisfied. Called Westside based on thermostat ad, backed up with Angie's. Arrived when expected, did a thorough check and answered all questions. Gave pricing before doing the work. NOticed I didn't have a filter and volunteered to bring one by and install it for me.
