Not a pro!! Ill-prepared, here for two hours, no price was getting back to us and never did hear from him again. I would not ever recommend this company.

Dont know they have not started yet when they r finished I guess I can revise their rating as needed. Yr program forced me to put down number before the job was finished. U should have a radio button to say have they started on time / and have they finished on time.

The windows are absolutely gorgeous! The house feels so much better with them in place & they really updated the outside look of the home. Couldn't be more pleased with the windows and the workmanship it took to get them in. I would highly recommend the Tompkins Company. I plan to do the outside patio later one with these windows.

We have used them years ago for replacement windows and screen in porch about three years ago. They do quality work and stand behind there products long after the sale. Locally owned also.

The project is not complete. however, the process has been very satisfying and professional. The workmanship and quality are top notch. I couldn’t have picked a better company.

Once the work got started it took no time to finish.They completed my back porch screening enclosure in one day. The problem was the scheduling that took much longer than it should have. There seemed to have been some confusion on their part when it came to the initial consultation and the actual install. They called me 5 times about the consultation after it was already done and I signed a contract to have it installed. That caused the delay in getting the project started.

They falsely advertise, don't stand behind there work & installed my siding and windows improperly. The windows leaked, had to be installed twice & still are not right!!! Most importantly they are not Energy Star, NFRC rated windows!!! They lied! This is my response to Tompkins Comments. I would like to know by who or what organization their windows were tested by. What was the SHGC & U Factor rating? Was it “Center of Glass” (COG), or the whole window, as required by IECC & SC State Code rating standards for energy efficient windows? Do you have documentation of the results from testing, so it can be applied by the customer when making a decision for their appropriate climate zone? Do your windows normally come wth NO PACKAGING AT ALL? Let alone NO MANUFACTURER PRODUCT, OPERATIONAL or INSTALLLATION INSTRUCTIONS or INFORMATION? Like mine did!!!! Home Advisor made you change your profiles, so it now represents accurate information (lack or false certifications)! It is about time! Your windows haven’t been TESTED or Energy Star/NFRC since 2011. Thank GOD for Home Advisor helping me push your company into being honest (after 7 years) with the public! Which, I notice, has made you change other such ads. The FTC tries to protect all of us “innocent consumers” about FALSE ADVERTISING & VERBAL MISREPRESENTATION. Plus faulty workmanship due to lack of supervision and quality of product. But they can’t do it alone! My windows have to be replaced, my siding fixed & it has set back my whole house remodeling for a year! At least now maybe others won’t go through this NIGHTMARE that I’m still going through.

All of the nonsense you are putting into your review shows that you are misinformed & misguided. Friday's hearing (2-16-18) in the Aiken County's Magistrate's court for your UNPAID BILL AND LIEN AGAINST your property was decided by the judge in The Tompkins Company's favor. Pay your judgment of $7252.20 + 80.00 + $1500.00 attorney's fee that the judge awarded to our company. Continual negative reviews will not make your court judgment go away. The judge saw through your unfounded claims and foolishness at the hearing. Your windows, siding, and soffit & fascia were professionally installed. 7-20-17 response to review. It is unfortunate that your negative review does not tell the whole story and that you have not paid the balance of your work contract. Instead you are trying to discredit our company with these false statements. Your windows, siding, and soffit & fascia have been installed professionally and the City of Aiken building inspectors passed all of the work. We do not falsely advertise nor do we need to tell lies. We do not represent in any of our media advertising, brochures or contracts that our windows are NFRC certified or that we are Energy Star Partners. The Tompkins Company Windows are tested and meet the current standards of energy efficient Windows."

This has been a disappointment from the beginning. We signed a contract on June 11 2015 but work was not completed until October 9 2015 but I won't even go into that! In May 2016 we had problems with leaking under the backdoor and the weather stripping was torn at least half way across the bottom of the one door. We could not get them to send anyone until March 17 of this year. He took pictures and said he would order parts. Have not heard from them since then despite unreturned phone call.

This is a very good company with some excellent people running the organization. They did a great job. There were some glitches but things were handled. My only complaint would have been if the project took less time. I realize some of the time issue was because of the county inspector and his availability, however, some was the crew and their lackadaisical attitudes about actually showing up, also make sure to tell them up front, that they need to clean up nightly. Other than those issues, the project went well. I would have them do other projects for me.

The entire experience of working with this company was a nightmare. Contracted and paid a 50% deposit in mid October for siding to be completed the week of Thanksgiving, with multiple cancellations and no shows on their part, installing the wrong color siding, and having to call them multiple times each week just to get the job finished. What was promised as a 2-3 day job, has taken almost 3 months and that was with my daily phone calls, usually with no return call by them. When the workers did show up around noon, they'd work and leave about 2- 3 hrs later. Had to contact them twice since the job was "completed" regarding ill fitted siding which remains ill fitted and not straight to this day. Rest assured that they wanted to "settle the bill" quickly after the job was "finished", even though it took them 3 mos. to complete what was their version of finished. This has been one of the worst and most stressful experiences of my life. Would not wish this on anyone else so avoid the Tompkins Company. ( I would like to add that their receptionist, Tommi, is nice and tries to help but is limited due poor management and zero control of their contractors.)

The work was very professional. They got the room built when they said they would. The windows are a bit tricky to open. They needed to give better instruction on how to handle them, as one fell out when I opened it! They replaced the frame quickly. Luckily, no real damage done. In the end, we absolutely love this sunroom. Excellent value for money.

Went to places like Lowe's and etc to price a replacement window, but they want you to buy the complete frame and have them install it. Tompkins told me to bring in the sash to get the glass repaired with same day service. It wasn't one day service, it was more like 30 min. service. Also, the customer service is great!

I was mislead to believe that all the workers were company employees. The initial subcontractors only worked two days out of the first two weeks and three on the third. They finally hired a crew that worked until the job was done. Clean-up was complete and the work that was finally done was excellent. Jill was very helpful and knowledgeable, but my experience with the initial subcontractors was awful.
