"This review is of no merit, the homeowner was heard saying how great everything looked, how fast the project was moving along. I have multiple witnesses to this. She entered a agreement to have her house remodeled at cost plus. total labor +total material + 20% = final cost. She made multiple changes to the project, all of which we accommodated. after all changes were done, she was not happy with the charges. I had nothing to do with what she was being charged by the subs. I do not tell them what they charge, they make up their bills. I just make a commission on their work. she has prevented me from going over all bills for the project and has not allowed me to fix a problem that I did not cause, but she wants to hold me accountable for. All estimates on work were stated as just that estimates only. it was known up front that the actual bill might be different. She agreed to the terms at the start, but does not want to pay what she agreed to. I never changed my rate or did any bate and switch. The rate for my work remained constant throughout the project. All subs charge for what they do and any changes are charged for. She got what she wanted but was not happy with the cost of the multiple changes. I have no control of the subcontractor's charges."
"I was not at all deceptive with the pricing. I broke the job down into two projects, each with its own cost, so that if she wanted to do one without the other she could. 1. Repairing the damaged corner boards & chalking them. 2. Painting the chimney I asked her if she had the paint so that I could get a exact match; not because I wasn't prepared to complete the job. I painted the corner boards only for her, because she didn't want to paint the whole chimney. Still had to climb that 40' ladder to paint them. That is what cost her the extra money not a daily minimum. I did complete her job just as she asked in one day, just not as cheap as she might have wanted. Sorry but when ya risk your life 40' off the ground, it cost money. i break down all my jobs into projects so that the homeowner knows what they are paying for. Never had any problem with anyone else understanding the bill. We did a good job for a fair price. That's all we can do."
