The Chimney Sweep

I called Daniel(The Chimney Sweep) on Friday, the 4th of Nov, to schedule him to look at our cabin's chimney. He answered on the first call, and said that he could look at it the next day(Saturday, 5 Nov). He quoted me $150 for the service. A+++ for answering and responding quickly! He came out on Saturday, about an hour later, but no issue with that. He inspected and cleaned the chimney, we removed the wood burning insert, and said that he had a damper at his home that he would install within the next week. I was very pleased with his work, and even paid him an extra $30 for his volunteering to install the damper at no charge. He told me that he would call during the week to set up an install time.I have called him no less than 12 times, left messages with no call backs. He did answer on about my 6th call, by mistake I think, and told me that he would call me back after the Thanksgiving weekend. I told him that he could do the install at his convenience and that we didn't need to be there. He thanked me. I haven't heard from him. To summarize, I read a review on him online somewhere that stated that he would do a great job while he was there, but if he ever left and had to come back you would never see him again. That has been our experience exactly! He did a nice job while he there but don't let him leave without completing the work as you WILL NOT SEE NOR HEAR FROM HIM AGAIN!
