Owner of HomeSmart Services Steven E. Chastain also a Public Adjuster, who is currently under investigation for insurance fraud (among other things). You are welcome to review my file with Georgia Department of Insurance & Fire Safety Commissioner, Ralph T. Hudgens. My understanding is that this is all public record. Feel free to request a copy of the file. The case number is #555181919, the former investigator is Mr. Menase Zewde. As I stated above this has been turned over to their Fraud Investigation Division. Description of Work: This provider entered into a contract with me on 1/13/14 owner Steven E. Chastain was paid over $47,000.00 to complete my job. The job was to restore my home after a pipe froze and flooded the terrace level of my home. Instead he used unskilled workers who performed substandard work, did not complete the job AND I had to hire 2 other companies to repair substandard work and perform much of the unfinished work. This provider is involved in major insurance fraud and I filed a complaint with the GA Department of Insurance& Fire Safety regarding owner Steven E. Chastain's (who is also a Public Adjuster). Subsequently, my file (one of the most thorough and best documented cases) has been turned over to the GA Department of Insurance and Fire Safety's Fraud Investigation Unit.
