I called Rent-A-Geek and spoke to Larry. Luckily, he specializes in virus removal and had a $99 special going. He also made sure to inform me of the $25 "trip charge" ahead of time. He was able to come to my home in the evening so I didn't have to take off work. He called just before my appointment time to confirm that I was home and ready for his visit. He cleaned up my system very quickly, installed AdAware and Spybot, showed me how to use them to keep from getting re-infected, and explained that certain sites that claim to fight spyware actually ARE spyware! He was very personable, did not try to talk over my head, and I enjoyed visiting with him - so did my dog! Apparently, he has been doing this for years and he and his wife finally started an official business last year. I highly recommend him.
