This is the second time I've used them. They did everything they said they were going to do and my sewing machine was ready when promised. They went out of their way to help me find a piece that I had misplaced and made recommendations as to where to find it. They were very helpful and I liked that they didn't try to sell me a more expensive machine so I didn't feel any pressure. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

I took my very old Industrial machine in to get tuned and put back in sync. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.Barry the technician was knowledgeable and very helpful. Although I had some struggles using it when I started back to sew it was merely my lack of knowledge of the use of it. The machine was given to me by my Aunt that did commercial work for 40 years. Since I had a couple quirks in trying to get to using it I called Barry. He offered to come out at a later date and also told me I could bring it to his house on the weekend so he could hook it to a higher speed motor and also teach me the mechanics of the machine. I finally got it figured out on mt own but will take him up one day on his offer. I definitely would use them in the future and highly recommend them. First Class Service all the way.

They have a beautiful and very well stocked store.

My wife's (Grandmother's) sewing machine had been out of use for a couple of years, and she started sewing some items again in the last year. Over that time, she always mentioned that the machine would need to be oiled and serviced because it had sat for a long time. Eventually, she started seeing increasing problems until the thread started snapping every time she used it...time for that service! Initially she took it to one of the larger chain fabric stores and was told it could take 6 - 8 weeks and likely cost $150 to service, quite disappointing.
A quick search of Angie's list brought up Atlanta Sewing Center, and it was worth it. I took the machine in on 4th March and was told it would probably take a couple of weeks (apparently there was a sewing expo in town and that resulted in higher than normal volume of machines coming in for service). I was shocked to get a call just one week later that the machine was done! Completely serviced and good as new - they even left the small test piece for the stitching in place to verify. The best part: it was only $80. So...half the price of the and quot;otherand quot; place (also listed on this website), and the work was completed in only a week. Definitely will use them again!

Great experience. They listened to what I needed done and wrote everything down so the serviceman could do his job. The machines were ready early and my Featherweights are now in good working condition.

They are very good people. I haven't had them do anything recently, and I haven't used my sewing machine for the last couple of years since my husband died. It was probably in the early 1980s that I started going in there. The guy who was a repairman at the time owns the place now. It's a pretty good place to go for sewing machines or sewing lessons.
