I purchased a washing machine from Reggie of ATeam Appliance Sales and Repair, and he delivered it on December 24, 2014. Because it was Christmas Eve, I paid a delivery fee and gave him a generous tip. Within less than a month, that machine did not work and I could not wash clothes. I contacted Reggie and he delivered another washing machine that afternoon. However, yesterday, April 22, 2015, the second washing machine provided by Reggie of ATeam Appliance Sales and Repair, has now also broken. The tub actually came apart from the machine. He finally called me and said that it would be at least a week until he could bring me another washing machine because he didn't have any in stock. However, I discovered that he had many washing machines listed for sale on Cragislist. He said they were all sold and the ads were old. Please note that I had another person send an email to Reggie through Craigslist for the washing machines listed for sale and they were told that washing machines were available for sale. These are the same machines that Reggie told me were already sold and unavailable. I told Reggie that a week was unacceptable to wait for another washing machine to be delivered as I have 3 children and foster dogs and do a great deal of laundry a day. He told me he was voiding my warranty for excessive use and then hung up on me. I texted him again and gave him two options, one, to refund the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for the washer or bring me another one immediately, not in a week or more. He texted back that he was voiding my warranty and that he would not refund the money I paid for the purchase of the initial washing machine. Now, when I purchased the washer, I specifically stated that I needed a heavy duty washer due to having children and dogs and doing a lot of wash. He never stated that were any limitations on use that would void the warranty. Ironically, Reggie's website specifically states that every appliance has a 180-Day warranty. There are no exceptions listed. I have repeatedly attempted to work this out with Reggie, but he refuses to communicate stating that I was rude to him on the telephone. I was not rude, I stated what I expected and gave him options to choose from. I knew I was being lied to and did not appreciate that. Additionally, this was the second washing machine that I received from him that failed. I DO NOT recommend Reggie for the purchase of any appliances. And since Reggie performs all the repairs himself and both appliances I received from him malfunctioned, I do not imagine his quality of repairs is very good either. If you had asked me when I purchased the first machine from Reggie and even after the second machine was delivered, I would have recommended him. I am very disappointed in his lack of professionalism and his lack of concern regarding his business ethics and customer service. Bottom line, do not do business with Reggie and ATeam Appliance Sales and Repair.
This was a day where the winter weather was getting bad. Reggie arrived on the time he said he would.
We both figured that the issue would have been a bad heating element. His test was stating that the element was good. He changed it out anyway and it still wouldn?t heat. The key parts were getting the needed power to operate. He felt at this time it could be the motor but he stated that it would cost more than the unit if he goes any further.
I told him that I will just get a new unit. He stated that he had one that he could sell me with a 1 year warranty. It was used but he sold it to me at a very reasonable price. He left to get it. He came back, hauled the old off.
I was very pleased with this gentleman. He is now my go to person whenever I have issues with my washer and dryer. I hope his business goes well because, he will go that extra mile for you. That is what you want as a customer
By the way, the cost was for the front loader dryer and the service call. :-).
He arrived on time, was respectful, honest, and knew his stuff.
My washer was making a noise and I told him I would consider replacing it. After he looked at it, he told me that problem was the motor and that he would not replace it if he were me (even though he knew I was willing to buy a used one from him).
He started this business from scratch, learned the technical skills needed, and is running it successfully. I tell all my friends about him - he's really that good.
