They bought out company I was using. I had to put gabage can in a certain spot. It would tip over. If it wasn't in that spot they would not pick up due to driver not getting out of vehicle. Was told they would be back out. Never came back that week. Then didn't run the week of hurricane and we had no problems in this area.

Always let trash blow out of can or from truck on the ground never cleaned up. Would leave trash bins on the road not the driveway and if it was raining would leave the lid open on trash can so it would fill with water.

Customer service in non-existing. I was switched to them without notice, when they tore up the trash can I asked for another and was refused. Then they took can and wanted me to pay for a new can to be delivered

I was a happy customer of Cycle Works Sanitation until my address was bought by another company for 2 weeks and again by Waste Industries till present. In my opinion, a company that purchases customers from another company has an obligation to honor the customer terms for the pre-paid service. After which they can set new terms agreed by both parties, not mid-contract. During my short term with Waste Industries I ran into several undesirable incidents.
Waste Industries uses a mechanical arm to empty containers and refuses to pick up cardboard boxes outside the container. This policy might be fine for small boxes that are easily broken down. But it is extremely impractical for large boxes with Styrofoam packing material, that result in a giant mess if you attempt to cut them up into smaller pieces.
Even though Cycle Works had given me 2 containers for service, I received a less than friendly letter from Waste Industries claiming "auditors" determined I have "excessive trash" at my location. They demanded I call them to resolve the issue within 7 days. I guess calling me was beneath them. Had they called me to discuss a rate increase the following quarter I would have been much more receptive to continue service. Instead they left a can full of trash at my curb which came off as petty.
Speaking to customer service, I found them to be fairly stand-offish and unconcerned with customer service.

Was switched to this provided involuntarily. After switch recyclable pickup was only once every two weeks at same increased rate from prior carrier. Further they would pull items out of trash cans that the prior provided would never do and leave items behind that were in no way hazardous waste (i.e. pieces of wood and a plastic chair).
Cancelled service. Will arrange to switch to another service in the future.

We did not choose to become a customer, our previous service was acquired by Waste Industries. Since then, we've had three or four instances where they simply didn't show up and upon calling to inquire, we're told we needed to contact them within 2 business days or we would be charged for a "special pickup". This month, we received our normal quarterly bill which has inexplicably and with no prior notice, gone up to $75.00 per quarter plus a $1.95 "paper bill fee". We will not continue doing business with this service.

When we started with this service less than 2 years ago, everything was great. We got garbage pickup and recycling pickup every week for less than $40. We always managed to fill up both cans and sometimes needed some extra bags left next to the cans during holidays or parties. They would accommodate (I could be wrong) up to eight additional bags outside of the can if you had more garbage than usual. We rarely had to do this, but were grateful to have the option. A+ would have been my overall review of this company!
Then after a few months, they decided to only pick up recycling every other week AND requested that no one recycle glass. This was a huge inconvenience for us because we always had more recycling than garbage to pick up. It wasn't enough of a problem to cancel service, so we started to recycle less and collect glass to drive to the dump ourselves. That would drive our overall grade down to a C instead of an A. My services were reduced by 20-25 percent. At some point since we began our relationship with this service, our rates have increased about $5 more for the billing period. That happens, I understand, but you've also reduced my service.
In the last couple of weeks, we received a letter that the company would now be using some kind of automatic arm, and we had very explicit instructions on where to put our can for pickup AND that we can no longer leave extra bags next to the can when there was extra garbage. We ALWAYS have extra trash (especially with the reduced recycling pickup) at Christmas and Thanksgiving. This change is just in time for the holidays. We can get an extra can, for an added fee, but why are we paying more now for less service than we were receiving when we started. Just this morning, they claimed they were there at 6:30 and our can wasn't out. It was in an unusual place because of the way the cars were parked in the driveway, but it did meet the critera of 3 feet away from all objects and 2 feet from the curb with the arrows facing out-just not in the same place it usually is. So we have a full can and nowhere to put the next weeks' trash because we can't put extra trash outside of the can. We will be terminating this relationship as soon as we find another company to pick up our trash and recycling.

Overall, I've been pleased with this service. They are consistent with the days that they pick up and if there is a change in the schedule due to holidays, they make sure to send updates and reminders. I appreciate that they will also pick up more than just what's in your trash can. If you have a couple extra bags, they'll go ahead and pick those up. Also, there have been a few times where I've missed the truck on its first trip through the neighborhood, but if I get the cans out before they leave, they have picked them up. I haven't had to contact them directly about anything, so I can't speak to that side of it, but they've always picked up the trash.

when I called to ask how much to pay, I got an anwering machine and left a message. No one ever called back, so instead of being charged a late fee I paid the highest figure on the bill. Now we are moving and I finally got a hold of someone at the office and she told me I over paid and they don't do refunds. I over paid about $18.50.
