Mr. Hamby was excellent! He very quickly diagnosed the problem with my leaking skylight and pointed out some preventive maintenance issues with my metal roof. He quoted a reasonable price and was back in a couple of days to complete the work. My leak was repaired the first time and my roof is in better shape than before. He cares about his work and it shows. Will definitely hire him again.

I wanted a certified and experienced professional to handle my new roof installation and I found him. Mr Hamby and his roofing crew got the job done right and exceeded my expectations. All of the materials used are of a higher quality than the original roof. When the old roof was removed he also found some rotted decking because the roofers that put on the original roof did not seal up their toe board holes. He fixed the decking and I am relieved that I do not have to worry about things like that with the roof he installed! I highly recommend Mr Hamby for a roof repair or entire roof replacement.

Van Hamby did an outstanding job on a chimney that had been having recurring water leaks since I moved into the house seven years ago. A few things that set him apart: (1) he kept me posted in advance on the days when work was going to be done; (2) after finding and fixing the issue, he did not like how the final work looked like, so he came back a few days later to make it look nice; (3) he did not charge me until the work was done to our (his and mine) satisfaction; (4) during the process, he called twice after big storms to check on whether the problem had been solved. All in all, he was very involved and concerned with his work. It's been several big storms since the work was performed, and not a single drop of water came through that chimney. I am very happy with the whole experience.

My recent experience with Hamby Roof Repair exceeded my expectations in all respects. I engaged Vann Hamby to inspect my roof for leaks around my masonry chimney, as well as damage to the roof caused by a broken tree limb. (I should point out that the leaks around the chimney chase were significant enough to require careful, long-term placement of pans and buckets to catch rainfall in the attic to prevent further water damage to the ceilings in my home.) After my initial phone call with Vann, he promptly arrived the next day to inspect the roof, recommend the necessary repairs and provide a temporary patch to the aforementioned hole until he could return to perform all repairs. I was immediately impressed by his deep experience (25+ years), professionalism, apparent pride in his work and the reasonable repair estimate. Although the repair to the roof hole was relatively straightforward, the leaks surrounding the chimney chase were more complicated, thus requiring extensive demolition of poorly installed flashing / shingles from the replacement roof that had been installed several years earlier by a different contractor. Next, Vann installed step flashing, kick out pans and counter-flashing, in addition to well-matched replacement shingles. At each stage of the repair, Vann voluntarily sent pics to my I-phone so that I could “inspect” the work as it was performed. The quality of his work was outstanding and precise. The day after Vann’s repairs, we experienced several days of heavy rain in the area. I monitored the attic to determine whether any leaks had occurred. Much to my satisfaction, the previously mentioned pans and buckets were dry and I only found one small area where water seeped onto a small, contained area in the attic (fortunately there was no ponding of water anywhere.) Following the first night of heavy rain, Vann contacted me by phone the very next morning to inquire whether any moisture had penetrated the attic. I explained my findings and he informed me that he would return to my home to resolve the minor, lingering moisture issue. As soon as the weather permitted, Vann returned to my home to touch up a few small areas where the caulk had not properly set or cured around the chimney flashing. It’s refreshing to find a trustworthy, skilled, and conscientious contractor. I appreciate Vann’s honesty and integrity, and highly recommend him to anyone in need of roof repairs.

If you need a leak repaired, Hamby Roof Repair is the place to go. Vann Hamby owns the company, does the estimating, and is on every job. He takes a lot of pride in his work and fixes whatever needs to be fixed.. Not only did he replace the singles on the low slope portion of my roof, he fixed some vent pipes that most likely had been broken either during the initial roof installation or when the roof was replaced several years ago. I would highly recommend Hamby Roof Repair to anyone that has a leaky roof.

A very bust time as it had been raining off/on for days on end. Mr. Hamby returned a message within a couple hours and arranged a time to come by. He called beforehand, showed up right on time - then assessed the repair and gave me a quote. Ran to Home Depot for a shingle to match, then finished the job along with an extra squirt here and there of sealant on spots that looked like they needed it. Overall very conscientious, great communication and a job well done. Would recommend.

Mr. Hamby troubleshot the issue during a rainy day. He determined that the flashing was not installed properly, there were shingles that needed replacing, there damaged on the soffit of the roof and window that could use some sealant. Mr. Hamby, was professional, maintained constant communication on the progress of the project. He even exceeded expectations by providing before and after pictures of the project; he also conducted another follow-up during a rainy day to ensure that the water was no longer leaking into my home. I was extremely pleased and highly recommend Hamby Roof Repair.
