Technician arrived exactly when promised, was courteous and informative.  Would definitely use them again.

I had used the same AC guy for several years because we'd had a radon issue and our guy specialized in radon remediation (turns out your HVAC system can actually create a radon problem if it's not installed properly. We had our radon levels drop from 10 to 1.7 after  this guy made the necessary changes to our HVAC). Recently, our usual guy went to work for a large, commercial company, so he's only available on weekends. He had come out on Sunday, after we developed a moisture issue, and at the time, he also did an AC check.
After he left, we had a storm on Sunday, and following a large lighting crash, our AC stopped blowing cold air. Because the temp was so cool outside, I wasn't really sure we had an issue until late on Monday, at which point our guy wasn' available to help. I called him and left a message. When I didn't hear back for a while, I got worried (we were getting ready to head out of town), so I went on Angie's List and ended up calling Castele. However, Castele said it would be 2-3 days before they could get a technician to my house. 
In the meantime, our guy called me back. He said he wasn't available, but  that he liked Douglasville Heating & Air Appliance Repair. He said he'd just called them and told them to call me. Sure enough, shortly after I got off the phone with him, I got a call from Tammy. She said they already had a service technician working in the area, and that he could be at my house in 3-4 hours. A few hours later, Scott, the technician, called to tell me he was on the way. He showed up when he said he would, and he was very professional and polite. After checking over our system, he informed me that our guy had forgotten to check the refrigerant level, and we were 2 lbs low. He added refrigerant, and -- voila! -- we had cool air again. 
Since I saw that they also did appliance repair, I asked Scott to look at our oven door, which had developed a slight gap that was allowing hot air to leak out. He fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes. 
I will absolutely used this company in the future, and I was grateful that they were able to work me into their schedule so quickly.

Ken, the owner of Douglasville Heating and Air arrived right on time.  As I requested, his office called me prior to arrival so I could isolate our pets.  One of the feet had become detached and the machine was unusable.  He quickly reattached the foot and leveled the machine within 15 minutes.  Machine is working fine now.
I picked Douglasville Heating and Air from the listing of Large Appliance Repair companies.  Factors in my decision were the favorable comments from reviews in Angie's List, the coupon for 1/2 price service call, and the fact that it was a local company.  During the repair Ken and I chatted and I told him about an issue with our refrigerator controls that another company had been unable to fix.  The other company advised that the part was out of stock.  Ken took down the model number of the refrigerator and within an hour had found the part and it is now scheduled for repair once the part arrives.
I can't say enough good things about the service and professionalism from Ken.  I will be calling him for any repairs in the future.

It went very well.  They did the testing and opened up the unit to see what the problem was .  It was a very simple replacement for a burnt wire.  They called ahead to make sure I was here.  It was a pleasant experience.  I will definetly use them again.

They were pleasant and engaging.  The microwave is tedious since its built in. He explained everything and what could be wrong.  I appropriated how he handled it .  He was on time and called an hour before they came.  They called me to let me know the pricing and make sure I wanted to continue with the additional charges.  He did a great job and was very professional.  The price was fair.

They are very responsive. I called on Monday and someone was here on Tuesday   During that visit on 5/13, the technician found the unit was void of refrigerant and there were no visible signs of a leak, further inspection was required.   On 5/15,  the technician, Tyler Scott,  identified/located the leak in the system  in the attic.  A replacement part was needed.  Tyler let me know when the part would be available.  Upon Tyler's return, he installed the new part, checked for any leaks in the new coil, recharged the system.  Bottom line, the AC upstairs is back in business just in time for my daughter's return from school.
   I am very pleased with Douglasville Heating & Air....the Technicians are professionals, they know what they are doing and they do it!

He replaced the heater element and repaired some other things

They showed up ontime ( called in advance to confirm their arrival time) and performed the work promised. It's been an extremely cold winter in Atlanta and the 23-year-old furnace powered through it all. They were also very polite and respectful of my home.

I called on a Sunday to request service (fully expecting a call back on Monday) and I received a call back later that afternoon, with a service call scheduled for 8:00 am the next morning. The service technician arrived and the problem was diagnosed and fixed before 10:30, at a reasonable price, I will definitely be calling them again.

Extremely  satisfied with the service!! From the initial call to when Scott and Spencer showed up to my house. They looked at the problems and explained the issue and fixed the issue quickly! The response time from the time I called to when they showed up was incredible. Very friendly and professional.

Tyler was the gentleman that came today was punctual,  proffesional, kind and took the time to explain things.     I will have them back for services when needed.

We chose them because my husband heard that they were decent and honest from somebody.  He was very nice, and explained stuff.

They are awesome. They were good, I was very, very pleased with them.  They have come in several times. I had an interesting problem, I've had it for years. I've had other people come in who looked at it and said, okay you're fixed, and it wasn't. They really troubleshot what the problem was. It took them days. Originally when I called I wanted my air conditioner serviced. I had one that had a problem. They came out and serviced them and said, okay, you do have a problem and we are going to figure out what it is, we aren't going to just put freon in and leave. That is what had been happening the last few years which is why I didn't call back last years guy. It took 3 or 4 days of coming back and forth. They didn't charge me for coming back and forth. He knew that I had a problem and that other people had looked at. One time I came home and they had 3 people working on the problem because they needed someone on the inside and someone on the outside. Finally, they were able to figure out the problem, they ordered the part. The price was reasonable. I have some really high-end energy efficient units that are great on energy savings but when it comes to repair. He explained everything. When I called, they came the next day. Everything is fixed and everything has been working just fine since then.

He told me what was wrong and fixed it.  Changed the filter and show me how to reset it if it should happen again.

It went pretty well, but I thought their price was a little high. Ultimately I was pleased with the service and I would use them again. They were good and on a scale of 1 to 5 I would give them a 5, but you will definitely pay a premium for it.

My 23-year old heat pump stopped working.  I checked Angie's list and discovered a company I had used previously for a refrigerator repair was listed as also repairing heating and air.  I had a good experience with my refrigerator, so I called Douglasville Heating & Air and appliance repair.  The work could not be scheduled for a few days; however, it wasn't too hot at the time, so I waited. The repairman showed up on time, removed the old one and installed a new heat pump.  The work was completed the same day.  The owner, Ken, came and inspected the replacement, made some minor improvements, and ok'ed the work.  The price was about the same as I had paid another company 5 years before to replace my other heat pump.  However, that work took much longer and did not work properly, so I wanted a more reliable company this time.

See information above.  Also, a few years ago, the ice maker stopped working in my refrigerator.  That was the first time I called Douglasville Applicance Repair (Now Douglasville Heating & Air and Applicance Repair.)  The ice maker was replaced and worked fine.  I thought the price was reasonable, and the work was performed quickly.

He does a great job and is very courteous.  He is just perfect and couldn't be any better.  I would leave him alone in my house if I had to.  Very trustworthy and honest man that does great work at an honest price.  I would recommend him to anyone.
