They were excellent. He didn't charge me a penny because he said he couldn't fix it. He figured out what the issue was, and said the only thing that could be done, was to replace the system. He was very knowledgeable, and very friendly. He said the chimney didn't need to be cleaned, and he recommended somebody else who could change the log system. He was completely honest. We didn't have to wait long to get an appointment.

Clean and inspect.  Very thorough, neat, and informative.  Did not try to oversell services.

After I made the appointment, I got a follow up call from Mr. Actman, confirming the time. He arrived on time.
Tarps and cloths were the first things put on the floor and around the chimney to keep the jobsite clean.
With a flashlight he checked the interior.  He knocked on the chimney and listened for loose debris.
The ladder he uses is designed to have no contact with your gutters, no worries there.
he got on the roof, removed the cap and cleaned the chimney, scrubbing and knocking all the build up loose.
Put the cap back on, came inside and using a high powered vacuum, cleaned all the ash and debris out of the stove box.
Again using the flashlight he checked the top of the box to make sure he got all the loose creosote out. Scrubbed the inside a bit more, vacuumed a bit more then explained how the stove works.  Very helpful.
He talked to me about the dangers of green wood and gave me some pointers on keeping the stove working at its' best.
Took his tools out, picked up the cloths and I don't even need to vacuum!

He was due to arrive between 10 am and noon, however the the weather was terrible, with a tornado warning in the area, so he called at the beginning of the range to inquire if it would be okay if he came later. I told him it was. He called again around 1 to let me know he was leaving and again 10-15 minutes before he arrived to ask final directions. He explained what he was going to do when he arrived and immediately got to work. He got the work done in about an hour, telling me what he was doing the whole time, advising me about parts of the fireplace and how it was installed. When he was done, he showed me how to use it and advised me when it should be cleaned again. He also nicely told me that he saw a squirrel enter my attic, not something I knew. It was a great experience and I'll call him again when i need to.

Excellent!  I have been using this company for years and they do an excellent job; they are very professional and really helped me out.  I had my chimney repaired by another company and was totally ripped off. Chimney Sweep came in and redid the work for way less than I had originally spent.  I have been using them since then to get my annual chimney cleaning done.  Can't say enough good things about them; they are great!!!

This task was extra difficult since the vent is not straight through to the exterior, there are two 90's at each end which required maneuvering through to clean the vent. The repairman was very diligent and completed the task in a very timely manor.

They never get any soot on the furniture and really seem to care about the customers they see. I feel their prices are excellent and they always come out when they say they are going to. I will use them again and I don t have a problem referring them to anyone.

This is a company owned by a husband and a wife and they do a good job. The wife always answers the phone and is nice and friendly. I was happy with the job they performed and the price they charged seemed to be reasonable.
