The office was overpacked with patients.  My appointment was almost 2 hours later than the scheduled appointment time.  We looked like a packed can of sardines.  The staff acted as rude as a bunch of minimum wage workers.  They all had an entitlement attitude.  Dr. Jove came in to see me for about 5 minutes and gave me a cortisone shot to relieve my knee.  I must admit that the shot worked.  That visit was $68.10 with my insurance coverage plus my $20 co-pay.
He scheduled me for an MRI a day or two later along with a follow-up appointment.  I had the MRI done and went back to Dr. Jove later that day.  This time, the office wasn't quite as packed.  He then told me that my knee had a torn meniscus, and that I needed surgery.  I asked if rehab could be an option, and he said that I could try it, so I did.  Upon leaving the office, I realized that he didn't even show me the results of my MRI.  I'm paying for the MRI, so the least he could do was show it to me.  I had paid another $86.89 plus my $20 co-pay for him to tell me that my knee was jacked up and I needed surgery.
After a few weeks of rehab, I saw Dr. Jove again, and he told me that my knee wasn't going to get any better and that i needed surgery.  He saw me for about 5 minutes again to tell me that.  He passed me along to his assistant when I asked to see the MRI.  The assistant did show me the results, but this could have been done in the previous visit which would have saved me time and money.  The cost of this office visit?  Another $86.89 plus my $20 co-pay.
I received the bill for the MRI and I was responsible for $468 of it.  I just finished paying it on July 22nd.  I called back today, August 4, to make sure that my balance is $0, and the lady told me that I had still had a balance of $68.  I told her that I paid for it in July and that it is showing in my online banking as processed, and she told me that just because the payment is showing in my bank account doesn't mean that my payment has been entered into their system.  If I didn't remember that I had made that payment, they would have double billed me.
I went back to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu around February of 2014, and although my knee isn't 100%, it is feeling better.  I still haven't had surgery on it, but if I do decide to have it, I won't use this doctor.
Don't go to these people.  Their customer service sucks and their billing system sucks.
