water heater repair
+ -1 moreThese guys were contracted with by Lowes to install the water heater I purchased from Lowes. They did the work a day late-we paid for same day service. When they arrived the basement was clean and dry-when they left we had to pump 6 gallons of water out. They set the temp of the water heater way above hot and my child was scalded. In carrying the water heater into my basement they dropped it and made a 1 foot hole in my wall which they made no apology for. The gas line pipe is copper and instead of replacing it with a solid line, they soddered very 3 inches or so to plug leakes. Most troubling they charged $500 beyond the contracted ammount for parts worth not more that $140 when labor had already been paid to Lowes for installation. Ultimately it cost 1000 to do a 2 hour installation on a 377 water heater. Total crooks.
