Gary is a cerebral, likable, and low key guy with great technical knowledge and skills. I think of him as a thinking man's electrician. He goes about his diagnostic and repair work in a careful, step-by-step manner. We had a somewhat complex problem, a sudden short circuit in an underground electrical line behind our house of unknown cause. The line had to be replaced. A new 70-foot trench had to be dug and new conduit installed and hooked up. The electrical work had to be coordinated with a trenching crew. Gary's work was excellent, and he always took personal ownership of the problem and its solution. He proceeded systematically and carefully and kept me informed of the status every step along the way. The project took over 2-3 weeks overall, including the digging and the electrical work. It was sometimes difficult and messy but Gary soldiered on, cool and unfazed. His fee was reasonable and fair. We now consider Gary to be our regular electrician for any future projects.

Gary installed can lights in our 1960s ranch. It was a challenging task but Gary did a great job in removing the old fixtures and wiring and then installing the recessed lighting. He was prompt and kept me aware of the job progression. He was meticulous in controlling dust and keeping the work area clean. Highly recommended.

Perfectly. Gary showed up exactly on time and changed the outlets and breaker quickly and professionally. He was friendly gave us good advice on what to plug in where so we could use the dedicated circuits to best advantage.

Gary was great! He was early, engaged, and his services were fairly priced. He had to build scaffolding to access lights over a stairwell, and he was meticulous in cleaning after he finished. I would most definitely use Gary and Blue Star Electric again. Very professional and reasonable prices.  Gary stayed for several hours to install a new electrical outlet inside my hall closet, which was very tedious and most definitely a hassle.  He never complained and was very helpful.  Great electrical contractor.

Gary's work is meticulous and thoughtful and he is very trustworthy.  The process took a little longer than originally anticipated due to the some of the troubleshooting that was required, but that is to be expected for a home built in the 50's and we didn't have any issues with the extended completion.  This was our second experience working with Gary and we would hire him again as well as recommend him to anyone needing an electrician.

He went the extra mile when we found out the remote was
defective and he went back with me to the store where we bought it and helped
me exchange it. 
He then installed the replacement fan which works very well.
His attention to detail and commitment to getting the job done

I am a past remodeling contractor and can be picky about the work. Gary, with Blue Star, did an excellent job at rewiring our rooms. We live in an 80-year old house that has a number of issues. Gary came in and worked straight through for several days. He was willing to work late if needed. I am extremely pleased with his work, have used for several other small items, and gladly recommend him.

What I was looking for in an electrician was established experience, quality work, fair price and trust.  I got all of that with Blue Star.
Over the course of the job, they made recommendations on things that they thought should be looked at, but also told me if I was asking them to do something that wasn't really necessary.  I appreciate their honestly and solid recommendations.
