Alternators, Auto Service
Yes, I recommend this pro
$288
I just really want to thank Charles Roberts, ASE Certified Master Auto Technician, for the work he did on my truck.  He was truly a life saver.  I was out of town and did not know where to go and he could have easily taken advantage of me but instead he offered better price and better service than what I am used to where I'm from.

I just moved to Dalton from 5 hours away looking for a job and I'm driving down the road when all the electronics in my truck just shuts down.  All the gauges in the dashboard shut off but the truck was still driving.  I drove the truck to the nearest store parking lot and parked the truck and then called the local Ford dealership but they said they could not take a look at my truck until 5 days later.   Luckily I saw another guy driving the same truck as me so I asked him if he knows anything about fixing this kind of truck.  He recommended that I call Roberts Automotive.  Charles Roberts answers the phone and gave me the number of the towing service that he recommends and that only ended up costing $40 to tow my truck to Roberts Automotive.  When I got to Roberts Automotive I was a little bit nervous because this is a very small looking family owned looking type of shop that I normally would never consider going to.  I normally take my vehicles to the dealership when I'm at home so I can be sure that the mechanics know what they are doing and are going to be able to do the work quickly.  But I was immediately impressed with how smart Charles Roberts seemed to be as he get out his computer and started doing tests under the hood of my truck.  He hooked up a battery booster to the battery and then he was able to start up the truck!  I was shocked because I really did not think the problem was the battery.  He explained to me that the battery is not maintaining the correct voltage in order for him to continue his tests so the battery is going to have to be replaced.  After he replaced the battery he did some more tests and determined that the alternator/generator had a problem.  He pulled out the alternator and took it down the street to a place that repairs alternators!  About an hour later the alternator was back and placed back into my truck and it was running again just like new.  The total price for this wonderful service including Labor and a new Battery and a fixed Alternator came out to a grand total of $288.48!  I'm sure that I would have paid over a thousand dollars at the dealership.  I am extremely happy with the service at Roberts Automotive and I would certainly recommend this place to anybody who owns a domestic brand of vehicle.
