The completed concrete work was precisely as described in the written contract signed by Grant Parker. Unfortunately, we learned the day of the pour that the extras verbally promised us by his sales rep, Jeff, were not going to happen without several thousand dollars of additional cost. Their workers excavated the area we thought was agreed upon with the sales rep, formed it, let it sit for two days, then when it was time to pour, we were informed that what the sales rep promised us was a "mistake."  So we resolved the dispute by going with a smaller size patio and an excess excavated hole to stay within the contract.

Also, the contract required us to pay for the concrete material separately to the concrete provider and stated "If the concrete plant charges for additional concrete that goes above and beyond what the agreed upon square footage that is required for the job, Client agrees to deal directly with the concrete material supply company about that."  So no surprise when the concrete charge exceeded the stated estimate and included an additional cost for fiber Jeff the sales rep said in an email would be free.

Since we weren't given a copy of the signed contract until after the job was completed, we discovered too late that "Austin Grant Parker is the only registered agent that can bind anything on behalf of Contractor."  In our opinion, any verbal promises made by his sales representative are meaningless unless they are written in the contract and signed by Grant Parker.
