I had been communicating with Kevin (owner) for a couple of months prior to his start date. He came out to my home with door samples and to give me an estimate of a total remodel. I have a fairly large kitchen (13 ft. x 12 ft.) that includes a 2 1/2 ft. x 6 ft. island. Within 2-3 days, he had emailed me his estimate and a computer generated diagram of how my kitchen would look. I am a visual person and one door sample was not enough for me to see his vision. I met him at the showroom/distributor he uses and there I made my decision on the cabinet style and finish. I choose the "Charleston" cabinets in the "Saddle" finish. The cabinets are solid wood construction with soft close doors and drawers. I also made several adjustments and add-ons to the project. My husband demo'd our old cabinets, so we saved a little money there. Kevin took all my requests and suggestions professionally and with no problems. If I emailed him or called his cell phone, he always responded promptly. Kevin started the project at the end of the first week of December and he had all the cabinetry installed and ready for the granite installation by the end of the week. The only delay in the process was the granite installation. The granite installer was very busy with other installations and so many people wanted their kitchens completed before Christmas (I was one of them). The granite installer was scheduled to be at my house at 6 p.m., however, due to his ten (10) previous installations that day, he did not show up to my house until 11 p.m. (yes, 11 at night). This had NOTHING to do with Kevin, it was strictly the granite installer. Kevin did take some pictures of the kitchen; however, I asked him not to post them until the kitchen was 100% finished. As of this posting I am waiting for my husband to do the tiled backsplash. Once finished, I hope Kevin will come back out to the house to take some final photos and post them. Everything turned out beautifully and I could not be any more pleased with the outcome. I would definitely recommend The Cabinet Guy Store for your kitchen or bathroom remodel.
