KDS Contracting

My experience with this company was awful. We met with the owner Keith and explained what we wanted, what kind of landscape design we wanted and what types of plants we liked and what we did not want. He promised everything and then fought with us when we asked for him to do what was promised. He took half of the total cost of the job upfront, and then kept coming back for a "loan" against the balance - that was pretty much the only time we saw him was when he wanted money. We would go weeks without seeing him or his crew and then when I would call him, he would argue with me that his crew was out there (most of the time, they came out to run the sprinkler. When they first did the bobcat work, they left it bare and then we had terrible rains, so all the mud washed onto my neighbors yard and driveway. After many calls for them to come and clean it up, I wound up having to pressure wash their driveway myself. At one point, his crew came and dumped trash and yard debris from another job he was working on in front of my house. When I called him to get it out, he argued with me again and it took them 4 days to come and get it. The stairs that he was supposed to install were a nightmare, he had his landscapers try to build them after the original guy quit on him, we ended up hiring someone else to fix the stairs (they were not even safe to have there), we also needed to hire someone else to fix the sprinklers, because not only were they not covering the whole area but there was a leak (probably from when they installed the sod) and the water was just running down our driveway, resulting in $600 water bills.At the end of the time his crew was here, (probably lasted 5 or 6 months with all the no shows and delays), we had a yard full of ornamental grass (specifically told him, we did not want any grasses), the wrong trees, a broken irrigation system, unsafe steps and 40% of the plants dying....I could go on and on but basically, stay away from this company, they are horrible!!!

The work wasn’t even halfway completed when he just abandoned the job. We attempted to contact them numerous times to negotiate something. We had three different appointments, but they cancelled each one and failed to show up.
