Interstate Relocation Systems

Worst experience ever - this company should not be allowed to do business. They quoted us under $6,000 to move our household from GA to CA then, when the truck (not theirs but a subcontracted company) came and started packing/assessing what we had, we were told us it would be $10,000. They didn't have room for a large portion of our things so we were forced to give away a lot of valuables, including tools and a new matress set. They forced us to pay the entire amount up front, because it turned out they wanted the last 1/3 in cash but ours was a corporate move on a cc. Once they were paid they went radio silent and, as we found out later, warehoused and abused our things for over a month. (There's a fine print clause that says they have 30 business days after delivery date requested to deliver...and they generally exercise that option from other reviews I've seen.) They told me the delay was our fault because it took a week for the adjustment to be made to go from 6 to 10k on the corporate card, but other reviews of the company show they always delay that long. 5 weeks and a day after taking our truckload of things in GA, they delivered them when we hreatened to cancel payment on the amex. Half of our things were crushed, filthy, torn, broken or destroyed and we had to rent a smaller truck ourselves because the 2nd company they subbed the job out to that delivered had an 18 wheeler that couldn't come into our neighborhood due to its size. If we didnt move it ourselves and fast they wanted $1,300 more to help move it down the street and not leave with it. I wouldn't wish these people on my worst enemy. They also operate w a DOT registration that says they're out of Ft. Lauderdale, though their address says Dallas, TX.
