"It couldn't have gone better. I called on a Tuesday, had an estimate Friday, and work started Monday and was completed that day. The team was professional, prompt, and very informative. They fixed my existing French drain and repiped it to run down the side of the house and out the back. They added another drain to the area that collects a lot of water as well as laid concrete to my front porch to prevent water entry. They made sure my gutter drains were clear and hooked up to drain away from the home. It was all done quick and efficiently and when they were done, they cleaned up and explained all they did. I basically paid $49 for them to provide a quote for work that I had no interest in getting completed when they provide free estimates.



I paid $49 for inspection and consultation of foundation wall with $1000 credit for repairs.  My wall had previously leakage issue, but issue was resolved by fixing a water downspout pipe and the wall has not leaked in over seven months. I wanted to get a quote for repair and seal of the interior wall using concrete sealants and/or sprays. The rep kept telling me that that would not fix my issue, but that I needed either to dig out and seal the exterior foundation or put in a drain with a sump pump. I told him I had no interest in either. I also told him I understood that the sealants will not permanently fix the problem but that I still wanted to explore those options. He kept telling me no. He finally gave me a quote for the drain and sump pump after I told him that I have interest in that. I could have had him give me a quote for free.

Response: Yes, other providers have told me similar, but they did not charge me $49 for basically a quote, which your company gives for free. I would think at the point where you will not quote what I ask, then you should offer me a refund for the coupon.

"Dealing with Mark Rownd and the rest of his crew was great. Not a single problem or concern - something I've come to realize is a rarity with construction jobs today.
I had gotten multiple quotes from a lot of other companies, including many of the top rated Angie's List companies, and noted wide price swings, frequent no-shows for quote appointments, and some very substantial inaccuracies provided by them.
Concrete Work's prices weren't the lowest quote I got, but Mark was honest and up-front and I felt that I could trust him and the company. I wasn't wrong as I'm very pleased with the work that was done and hope to have Mark and Concrete Works back again for more planned projects.
To be completely candid - I never met Mark Rownd or had any dealings with Concrete Works before this project, so this is a true unbiased customer review, but I wouldn't consider using anybody else but them for all of my projects.
I wish all of the construction companies were like these guys - I'd have a lot less gray hair!
