Spending such a large amount of money I wanted to get the highest energy efficient system I could get within my budget. The other bidders wanted to sell me the same system I already had and noted that the modifications to my house's duct work would out way the energy savings. I had requested a SEER 16 air unit matched with a 95% efficient gas furnace for the new HVAC system this was about 50% better than my current HVAC system. My advice is to do your homework via the internet and articles on the HVAC best system for your needs. Don't be afraid to hold-out for what you want or need. So far, I have decreased my energy bill by 40% for cooling and I hope to have a “return on investment” (RIO) in 5 to 7 years.

The unit still has flaws. They have not fixed the problem.
