CHAMPIONS HOME IMPROVEMENT

I hired Champions Home Improvement to re-build and stain my deck. I trusted the contractor Louis to do the job and he breached the contract at the end. He and his workers re-built the deck and wrote in my contract they would come back to stain in 90 days. I contacted Louis a few weeks prior to the 90 days to set up a time to stain and he gave me the run around for weeks. Since the weather was getting cold soon I needed to get this done. It's not recommended to do exterior staining when the temperatures are low. He told me a few times he was coming and then made excuses when the time came. After a while I had to get new quotes for other contractors to stain the deck. I contacted 4 contractors and they all quoted me $650 to stain the deck. One of the contractors was Louis' own worker. Louis finally contacted me back and told me he wasn't going to make it because he had foot problems and offered me a $150 refund to stain the deck. Of course this was unacceptable and he told me "I don't know what to tell you". Since he told me that, I haven't heard from him since. I ended up having to pay someone $650 to stain my deck. If you want a contractor who will do an honest job I wouldn't suggest Champions Home Improvement. As a new homeowner I have certainly learned who not to do business with.

Although I do not wish to get into the price at this time, I can say they were very professional and very detail oriented the entire time they were here. They cleaned up well and made for me a beautiful sun room. I don t have a problem referring them to others and would use them again.

I liked using this company and I will tell you why. I had a minor concern after they were done. They immediately picked up and came back to fix the problem. They were so easy to work with and they guarantee everything for your entire lifetime. That is a good deal. They were very good to me.

Owner, Louis Smith, did the work. He is very friendly, polite, and professional. The gutters had not been cleaned in several years and debris was wedged in them - he had to scoop it out with his hands to get them clean. He completely cleaned up, including areas that were covered with leaves when he started! I will be using him for other jobs, like pressure washing and painting.
