It was a pleasant experience. The customer service center was very good too.

Before coming out, Bulldog provided a detailed list of pricing for the options I was interested in. Although adding the wireless option is more expensive than I realized (before researching it) their price seemed comparable to a couple other companies I checked with. The company was responsive to email and phone call communications prior to the selection of their company and the actual appointment. They also called to say when they would be there and were right on time. Two men arrived, one to handle the paperwork (named Guy) and the other was the technician. After arriving for the appointment, Guy went over pricing options (frequency and format of payment, etc). I had a good idea of the price before any work started. During the appointment the technician determined that the upstairs panel wasn't the right frequency(?) and so that had to be added on to the price, which they checked with us before doing the work. With the addition of the replacement panel and the wireless smoke detector, the price was higher than I initially planned but we thought it was worth going ahead and getting it done while they were there and it wasn't something they could have known without being there in person. They were good to not pressure us on any of the considerations and did even mention a cheaper option for the smoke detector (non wireless option) but I didn't want any drilling in our newly painted walls. After testing the alarm sensors, they finished up the appointment talking through the instructions and programming features of the system with us. Within a week, they followed up with an email to document our recurring payment set up. We are pleased with the overall quality of work and experience.

The installation team was very nice and generally professional.  However, they missed one of the door contacts, despite being asked if they had installed it before they left.  When I contacted customer service, they were apologetic and scheduled the installers to come the next day before I normally leave for work (earlier than they would otherwise schedule a house call) so I wouldn't have to take off any more time to get it fixed.  The system otherwise looks great and is only minimally noticeable throughout the house.

Mike Jones is amazing.  Rarely do you get to speak to the owner of a company - let alone does he call you back to answer your silly questions for an hour on the phone.  He even writes his own emails too.  Simply awesome.  Mike is hands-on and his techs are awesome.  They do not employ sales people.  They send their techs out to do quotes.  Which actually makes a whole lot more sense when you really think about it.  The techs know far better what you need.  They can look at your house from a technical perspective and know first-hand what it?s going to take to install the system.  So, there are no surprises for anyone when it comes to the installation day.  Actually, there are no surprises with Mike's company anyway.  He has a very simple price structure.  There aren't any hidden fees or fancy codes or anything like that.  Cut and dry.  And, it's local.....not one of these national things where you're this tiny flea buried in a pile that nobody cares about.  I wouldn't be surprised if I called and Mike actually remembered me.  And I haven't called in about 3 months!
 
Anyway - the techs arrived on time.  They did an amazing job.  They worked hard and kept in communication with me if they had a question on where I wanted a smoke detector placed or whatever.......they were very considerate.  I was very impressed.  They worked with me to ensure I was comfortable with operating the system and answered all of my questions.  They even came back out a few weeks later to adjust one of my glass break detectors that was too sensitive.
 
The monitoring service is great too.  I had a false alarm happen and they were ringing my phone in a nanosecond.  They were calm, cool, and collected.  They were professional and I felt very safe knowing they were monitoring my alarm system. 
 
Mike even went above and beyond to get me the list of phone numbers that the dispatch center would be calling me from so I could put them in my phone so they would come up as recognized numbers.  He didn't HAVE to do that.  But he did.......personally for me.  Who does that?  What owner of a company does that?  Amazing!! 
 
I have had nothing but great things to say about Bulldog and I feel safer in my home knowing I am protected by them. 
 
OH - and their rates are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.  While all of my other friends are always complaining about how ADT and all of their other alarm system companies keep raising their rates every 3 months without explanation, Bulldog has this amazingly reasonable rate for better service than my friends are getting.  Hmmmmm...........needless to say...........Mike will be hearing from my friends as soon as their contracts expire.  Trust me.

We had some initial miscommunication/scheduling issues, but they worked very hard to get these issues resolved for me.  I
am very grateful for their outstanding customer service, something that
is often lacking with companies these days.  I know that issues can
always come up and what I feel is most important is not the issue itself, but
how a company works with a consumer to resolve these issues.  And they did an excellent job resolving my issues to my complete satisfaction.   I would definitely recommend this company to anyone that is looking for a reliable alarm company.   

My phone call with Mike was professional and I didn't feel rushed with the questions I had about our existing system. Mike also never tried a phony sales pitch trying to upsell me, and gave me accurate costs for individual parts that I knew we needed added or replaced. When the installers arrived (right on time, with a phone call prior to arriving!) Guy and Wayne were great. Our existing system, being outdated, was trickier than expected but they worked hard to get the job done. They even came back out to finish up a few small details. The prices for the additional parts were always quoted to us before they installed them, and matched what Mike had told me over the phone. No pressured sales pitch by the installers either. Their monitoring prices are very reasonable too, with many different payment plan options. We're very happy with Bulldog Security!

AMAZING!!!  I am so happy with Bulldog.  They are straight shooters and will not give you the run-around on anything.  There was no high pressure sales pitch.....no scare tactics......no slick brochures.......no schnazzy line that they feed you.........nothing.  Just "here's what we can do to protect your home.....let us know if you need us".  That's totally my style.  I don't need to be pressured in my own home.  They will even give you their prices over the phone....none of this "we'll have to send someone out to talk to you" junk.  They don't even employ sales people.......the techs come to your home to do the quotes, which in all honesty makes more sense anyway! 
I shopped around......even had other companies come out to the house.  Bulldog was, by far, not only the least expensive, but the most wonderful to deal with.  How can you ask for more than that?  I spoke with the owner, Mike, several times on the phone before the sale and he spent the time to answer each and every question I had, even customizing it to what I needed.  (Yes, the actual owner.....the top guy.)  Wayne and Guy installed my system and were knowledgeable, prompt, friendly, professional, and just all around good guys.  Their rates are by far the best in town, and having a company that is locally owned and operated is exactly what I was looking for.  And, they didn't lock me into some 3-year contract that I'd have to be married to.  It is month-to-month and while that gives me comfort, I'm sure I'm not going to cancel.  I'm very happy.
 
I HIGHLY recommend Bulldog and will tell everyone I know to use them without hesitation.

The technician showed up about 15 minutes early.  He was VERY professional from start to finish.  He explained everything very thoroughly and went throught the paper work and payment items first.  He explained some options that I could upgrade but was not pushy on the upsale which made it comfortable doing business.  They ran into a few issues with some of the existing wiring in the basement and weren't able to complete that area today, but scheduled a time to come back and complete with no extra charges.  I am very impressed with my experience so far.  They have a low monthly rate and it is even lower if you pay in advance for the year.  I highly recommend.

Annual service of monitoring for 15.95 a month.  Additional for the cellular for 10.00  The rep Curtis was able to use my current alarm equipment at no additional charge, when other companies who came out said my current equipment couldn't be used.   I chose Bulldog because they were a local company, they offered monitoring at the best price and there is no contract for the service.  You can't beat this.  Curtis explained everything and took the time to answer all of my questions.  I paid for a year and received a small discount. 

As always Bulldog Security arrived on time and quickly identified the issue.  Wayne was very polite and professional and had us up and running in no time.   Great Job!!!

The install was done carefully and swiftly in a very professional manner. We had a couple glitzes in our
use of the system as we are/were learning, but they were very helpful in getting us back on track, so we hope!
Soon after, a non-security workman inadvertantly misplaced a unit part, and the part was replaced very quickly by
Bulldog for a reasonable fee.

I contacted Bulldog Security Services on a Tuesday afternoon, received a quote for services during my initial call and scheduled installation for the following Thursday morning "between 10 a.m. and noon but probably closer to 10 a.m." Having moved to ATL recently from Chicago, I fully expected the technician to arrive well after 12 noon. Much to my surprise, the technician called shortly before 10 a.m. to inform me he would arrive within 5 minutes to install our new alarm system. 
Our technician was professional, courteous, extremely efficient and thorough. He asked questions regarding our concerns, wants and needs prior to installing the new system. His work was professional, the installation was thorough and his training was well designed and clearly communicated. Our impression of Bulldog Security Services is that we selected the best company to do business with. The price was fair, the installation both timely and professional, and our interaction with all Bulldog personnel was very pleasant.

I decided to replace my alarm system, which was outdated.  I called  a few different companies.  Some of the salespeople tried to scare me when I didn't spring for the most expensive thing they had, but the Bulldog rep took a reasonable, practical approach.  He gave me a quote.  A few weeks later, I called back to set up the work.  The installers came early in the morning and were finished by early afternoon.  They didn't leave any mess.  I tested the system, and it works fine.

Mike was very quick to respond via email (my preferred method of contact) to help set up a time as well as answer all my questions. The agent, Curtis, who set up my system did his best to work with my schedule. He has also been continuously responsive in answering my questions and offering help with the system. Also very knowledgeable on the devices and was able to tell me specific details on one sensor unit just by seeing a picture of it. Their prices are competitive and I am very happy with the install service as well as the quick calls when the alarm is tripped.

Outstanding service. The owner came out initially to look at our house and give us an estimate. The techs were prompt and they walked through everything with my wife. Best of all, they were able to use some of the wiring left by previous owners of the house, which saved us a couple hundred dollars off their estimate. I would not hesitate to use them again and they are one of the only installation companies around that doesn't lock you into a monitoring contract.
