When he came to install the drapery and new bedding, the drapes were hung at the wrong height, though when I called, the designer, I was told the work order had the correct instructions. Upon inspection I saw the bed coverlet did not hang to the correct length. He argued with me saying this was standard king size. I reminded him I specifically asked he measure my bed because I wanted it longer than standard. After much back and forth, he agreed to correct the problem but again would not measure. I asked how he would know, to which he replied "I know, it's 4". I insisted he measure. The additional length needed was 6". The coverlet issue was correct, but I was asked to come pick it up myself.
The drapery panels were still at the wrong height, and looked like very expensive shower curtains. The workroom had made them with a light weight interlining. As a result the very expensive silk just hung sadly, not at all reflective of the $1,000 I paid for 2 drapery panels. Somehow this was my problem for not requesting a heavier lining, though I contended I was paying for their design expertise. To just end the whole experience I paid an additional $300 to have the heavier lining added.
When the owner came to re-install the draperies he eventually got the height right. But the panels hung shoddily, looked wrinkled and the clips at the top of each 'fold' are not correctly placed so they in turn do not hang in folds as designed. There is one seam on each panel which is right down the front of a fold and looks terrible. When I pointed this out, he walked over, took his fingers and ran them vertically down the fold which moved the seam momentarily off center. It didn't stay that way. At present I am going to have to pay another window company to come out, correctly press and re-hang the drapes.
