I was very happy with the process, and with Melanie's ability to efficiently and effectively make the refi happen. It went very well. Melanie was both capable and low key. I was never pressured, and I felt that she genuinely was trying to give me something that would serve my interests, not just her business interests. Because I called her on the basis of a Bankrate.com referral, I didn't know if this was going to be some kind of scam, but it definitely was not. In fact, it was a much better experience than my original one in buying the house. Melanie will not lead you astray, and seems very unlikely to pop a surprise on you at the last minute. I recommend her highly. The fees involved were very reasonable for a refinance, which is an unavoidably and ridiculously expensive process because of all the steps that have to be taken. But, as even my lawyer agreed, the fees were definitely reasonable.
