My parents live in a neighborhood with strict HOA rules. They hired John based on our recommendation and I am incredibly disappointed in his behavior. From a bad attitude to throwing tools and not taking responsibility for his mistakes - his service was beyond unprofessional. To top it off, when my parents added the HOA required handles to the door at the required height the door would no longer open. When my mom texted John, he blamed them and stopped answering their calls and text messages. My parents are now having to pay another company to fix his work. I will not be recommending or using him again.

Perfect. I got a quote from a "major" brand, and it intuitively seemed VERY high, so decided to get another quote. Left John a message, he called back within 20-30 mins, came out that day, gave me an estimate that was much more in line with what I was expecting. It was a larger than normal spring, so he had to order it and said he'd be back next morning to repair. He showed up on time, got the repair done, and even tightened a few things, and lubed the door and another. The job seemed like it was a bit trickier than he expected,d but he got it done. I gave him a tip as his price, professionalism, and timeliness were A+. Would definitely recommend and will hire again if I ever need garage work. I also sent his name out to my neighborhood list.

John did a great job. He showed up 5 minutes early and had the job done in less than an hour. Removed old opener and installed the new one that I had purchased at a big box store. Showed me how to change the codes and operate the features. He also replaced the spring several months ago. Overall a great experience both times.

Our Garage Door opener was having issues, and I wasn't sure who to contact. I did some quick research online (Angie's List, Nextdoor, Kudzu.com, etc.) and settled on John Mazzei of "Doors By John." I want to recommend him here, because he's one of the best (maybe THE best) installation/service specialist I've ever hired. Very friendly, informative, trustworthy...with high quality work and materials at an affordable price. He won't sell you something you don't need, but he won't leave you with a repair that will only last for a few months before he's back again. I highly recommend him for any garage door/opener repairs or installation services you may need.

I called at about 8:30am and my door was fixed before I finished lunch. After replacing the springs, John also tuned up the door, strengthened the track braces and corrected various minor issues he found with the door, all at no additional charge. Highly recommended!

If I could give John more than an A+, I would!! He is very professional and kind. He responded very quickly and was at our house as soon as he could be. He repaired our door, corrected all necessary issues and answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend John to anyone!

Upon purchasing an existing home, we discovered the garage door opener was not working. John immediately came by and installed a new opener that is now working beautifully and is very quiet. Then about a week later after a heavy rain, we noticed some water coming in around the garage door and also around one of the french doors in our basement. Once again, John was out quickly to remedy our water intrusion issues. Highly recommend Doors by John, I have known John for many years, he is very skilled at what he does and has alot of integrity.

After having disappointing results with a recognized
dealer/installer, I contacted the Haas door distributor and asked for a
recommendation. They recommended John Mazzei whom I contacted and his response
was immediate. He inspected the old doors and submitted a competitive quote (lower
than that quoted by the previous dealer/installer). We agreed on a date to
install the new doors and he completed the work on time and as quoted. The
doors have been operating trouble free for approximately one year now.
I have no reservations in recommending Doors by John. Based
on my personal experience, he is far more reliable and dependable than the
competition.

It went very well.... better than expected. The garage door spring
broken and John was there the very same day...the repairs were done quickly and
the price was right! He also did another repair at a different time. The
garage door support bracket broken and the door was unable to be lifted. John removed
the broken support and put in a brand new one that was better than the builder
grade support that was initially installed!! While he was there, I mentioned
that the door sometimes makes a funny noise so he re-aligned the garage door so
that it would go up and down smoothly! I couldn?t ask for a better experience
and the door work was great! I have referred John to my friends. neighbors,
and coworkers and they too advised me how happy they were with his quality!
John is prompt, tells you what is necessary and what isn?t...and his service is
"World Class". I would highly recommend Doors by John!!!

John was fantastic! Starting with our back door replacement, he ran into some "fit" issues that required a good bit of extra time, but he stayed with it and got it to fit properly. Our old door was causing air leakage and water entry, so we are very happy to have a new tight fitting door! For our garage doors - he did such a great efficient job. He took down our old doors and openers - in stalled brand new up graded ones, raised our metal framing to allow my tall husband more room to enter the house, new wifi remotes, and great hardware. They are so quiet you can barely hear them, and the soft close is fantastic. He spent a long time with me in advance choosing just the right doors for our home. His pricing was very fair, he was always on time, super professional and just a really nice guy. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Great experience!

We were very pleased with John's responsiveness. We contacted him early on a Monday morning and he arrived within hours of our call. His knowledge of garage door mechanics and available products is very impressive. He is extremely professional and takes pride in his work. His pricing is very reasonable. He came highly recommended by a friend and I have since recommended to several others.

John has done repairs on the garage door at my home and at my rental house. I thought we needed a new garage door opener two years ago and he said he could tune it up instead if we wanted because it still had some life left. He had to come back in August this year as it finally did reach end of life. He was able to come the same day and install a new Liftmaster garage door opener and keypad and control panel. I wasn't even home! He installed the door in an hour or two, called me to give me the code he set, and left instructions on how to change it along with other documentation. He is very honest, dependable, and has very fair prices. He won't do work you don't need. You can trust that the work he does will be high quality. We wouldn't use anybody else.
