Coleman Electric LLC
About us
Residential electrical service and repair, with a personal touch. State licensed electrical contractor with 29 years experience. I started this business in 1999 to fill the need for a professional electrician who will do smaller jobs for homeowners that larger companies will not touch, at least not for a reasonable price. I realized that at the time, most homeowners were being forced to rely on the hit or miss tactic of finding a moonlighting electrician or a handyman to come out on nights or weekends. Often these guys could then not be found if something went wrong. I saw the need for a professional,on time, licensed, and insured company to come out of the dark and fulfill these needs on a regular basis, as their main line of work. We only do smaller electrical jobs and repairs, not large construction projects, so you will never feel unimportant or be put on the back burner when a "better" job comes along. Nor will you see some of the price gouging or scare tactics other electrical companies practice . Not doing large jobs means I can be more available to the customer, and get to their job in less time, without requiring them to pay an emergency fee. Think of Coleman Electric as an electrical handyman, only with the skills, knowledge, and tools the handyman lacks. Fully licensed and insured means you'll never have to wonder if that handyman you hired really knows what he is doing. I can assure you, most of the time he does not! Many of the repairs I see today are directly due to handyman electrical work. It is very important that someone working on your electrical system understands the whole picture, not just small bits of the puzzle. I focus on customer service, and because I limit the scope of the kind of work I do, never try to up sell unnecessary work like circuit breaker panel change outs, which are way overdone in my experience! My customers can feel free to pick up the phone and call me at any time. You won't have to fight past a receptionist to talk to an electrician every time you have a question. I have hundreds if not thousands of happy customers, many who have become friends. Feel free to ask for references. A common fallacy is that hiring a handyman to do small electrical jobs saves money. More times than not, the handyman lacks the tools, parts, and knowledge of code to do the job correctly. And in Georgia, it is illegal for an unlicensed person to do any electrical work! I've seen them wreck a home's wiring and waste people's money so many times, I just shake my head. Ever plan to sell your home? If the work does not meet code you will end up paying someone licensed to re-do the work, often at very high rates due to the urgency of a home sale. Why pay twice? Why put your home and family at risk? An experienced electrician with the proper tools and parts in stock can run rings around some handyman bumbling through a job he is really not familiar with. What is even more amazing are the rates I see handymen charging these days! Many I see quoted are as much or more than my rates!! Don't let the large overpriced electricians scare you off hiring a licensed electrician. There is a reasonable alternative. Diagnostic service calls start at only $85! About me: My name is Brian Coleman and I hold a Georgia Electrical Contractor license, Low voltage license, and also have a Bachelors degree in Business from the University of Georgia.
