Carroll Landscape and Construction

He had crew come in and remove the trees. Left my yard and neighbors yard a mess. He has come out several times and sprayed my yard to kill the grass and even came and dug up all my shrubbery. The last time he promised to get the job done was last week. Last time he sprayed my yard was july 2016. He stays in contact thru text messages but never follows through with anything. He has taken my money and I can't afford to hire another landscaper. Beware don't even talk with him about doing your job. He has left me in a big mess.

To sum it up, THIS IS THE REASON ANGIE'S LIST EXISTS!  We made the mistake of not using Angie's List and have been paying for it ever since.  We received their shiny advertisement in the mail.  It had a wonderful picture on it and looked very professional.  Well, looks can be deceiving.  It seems as though as soon as they got our money it was suddenly impossible to get ahold of them.  They failed to show up to finish work that was promised (and paid for) numerous times.  They were supposed to sod our yard.  The first sign of a problem was when the date they were to do it kept coming and going.  Then at 3 in the morning a truck rolls up and dumps a bunch of sod at the bottom of our driveway instead of in the backyard.  That morning at 6:30a.m. a man knocks on the door demanding a check for the sod.  We didn't want him to take the sod back since we had been waiting for the work to finally start so we gave him a check.  We called Tyson Carroll, the owner and he said the guy delivering the sod wasn't supposed to get money from us.  We had to quickly cancel the check.  Things went downhill from there.  The sod they put down was full of weeds and many squares didn't root and died.  Mr. Carroll kept promising to replace them but it's been over 3 months and he hasn't done a thing.  He also was supposed to repair a leaking sprinkler head and fix the lines they had cut when placing the sod.  He has emailed my husband various times saying he'd be coming the next day but never shows up.  It's become a running joke at our house how often they are supposed to show up but don't.  My husband has left many messages and he even wrote him a letter asking Mr. Carroll to please just fix the cut sprinkler lines which we paid him to do, but have received no response.  It's obvious Mr. Carroll is in it for the money and nothing else.  We learned two important lessons from this experience, #1 Never pay until the work is completed and #2 ALWAYS USE ANGIES LIST!!!
