We replaced our dilapidated cedar deck with one of ipe with Fortress Metal railing. We were so pleased with the quality of the craftsmanship and workmanship of the crew. They were polite, could problem-solve tight areas, and did a good job tidying up at the end of each day. Even the building inspector who came after the job was completed told us they did a beautiful job. Our previous experience with other work crews was not near as positive. We would recommend Atlanta Decking and Fence to other homeowners.

All team members are professional. Even though we had some misunderstandings along the project, but in the end, we reached to a mutual agreement and I am very happy about it. We can’t predict future so issues by nature are always expected during a project. I believe their team member’s professionalism and friendliness will help you go through any trouble during a project. In addition, their work quality is A+. You can’t go wrong with Atlanta Decking and Fence Co.

We had a great experience with the team at Atlanta Decking & Fence, from the initial quote and design through the completion of the job. Our deck looks better than we expected and we are very happy with the result. We recommend them highly to anyone that is looking to have their deck rebuilt or redesigned.

We had AD&F do a deck for us several years ago and it turned out beautiful. So, when it came to get a new fence we called on AD&F for the job. Quick for an estimate, designed a fence to match the detail on the gate we had previously installed, ad tied all the exterior wood together in a fabulous design. AD&F is not necessarily the cheapest out there, but they are reliable & dependable, do the work when they say they will, provide a quality finished project, and best of all, they offer suggestions and options. Others we have tried dealing with in the past will price or do what we want, but don't offer up any options.... Example - when we built the deck we knew we wanted iron pickets, AD&F came back and offered the suggestion of using copper plumbing pipe - more cost effective and the weathering and patina of it is absolutely amazing. And years later, when we had an issue with the handrail, Dave came back out and replaced the top rail, no questions asked and no charge. Great to work with an honest company that does what they say they are going to do.

This was the best experience I've had with a contractor. We felt well informed the whole time, the price was fair (much better than other quotes we got in fact), the person who first came to evaluate the project had great ideas for solving some problems, and we love the end result. I'm honestly still surprised at how well it went. We've been recommending them to anyone who asks.

Atlanta decking did a great job. The cost estimate was very reasonable and that was the amount we paid. The crew that did the job was on time and extremely capable. We couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend this company.

Tim was very professional and punctual in responding to our inquiry. He came out to measure and help guide us through the whole process. Their installation team was able to work around our schedule and delay due to erosion from heavy rain. They scheduled and completed the project promptly doing an excellent job. The work was very high quality and looks great!

Well, the installation of the deck was great and I was very happy with it. The reason I'm posting this review now is the follow-up from the company. Back in January I contacted the company I had a couple issues, one was the bowing and warping of a piece of wood on the deck and the other was a possible leaking from where they put flashing next to the house (or bolts) next to the house. The owner was kind enough to get all the details and pictures and let me know he was going to come out and fix it. Here was are, going into June and nobody has come by or contacted me about making an appointment to fix the issue. I guess the owner has decided it was not worth his time to come make the fixes. So I'm left with a warped board and possible future leaking my basement. I gave a C, because like I said, everything was great in the beginning and very professional, but I guess once they get your money, than it is not their responsibility anymore.

We looked at a few companies to do a much needed tear down and re-build of our deck. Along with that, we decided to have our three-season porch's 2 screened walls and door demoed and rebuilt. Atlanta Decking (AD here on out) wasn't the cheapest, but they had a solid reputation, good reviews, and offered a bit more selection to the builds (composite options, design options, etc). The initial job went well, though there was a lot of back-and-forth regarding when the crew was going to start the job. Delays just seemed to pile up, especially surprising since weather was pretty cooperative. But, the crew finally did come out in early December and worked late each evening in order to complete the job in about 5 days. They worked hard and were quick to ask for clarifications on some of the finer points. That was definitely welcomed. Also, the finished product was well past our expectations, so we were pleased. One issue though was that they weren't exactly neat on the job. During tear down, the pile of wood from our old deck sat in our front yard for a couple of days, even after the demo was finished. And during the build, the table saw was set up on our lawn, and the inch deep layer of sawdust (from the PT wood) basically suffocated the newly seeded lawn, which did not rebound. It would have been better had they put a tarp down or at least used a vacuum to clean up the mess. Outside of that though, we were very pleased with the job. Due to the deck being built during the winter, we obviously didn't use it much for the season. However, in February, we noticed a couple of issues. We told AD of the following: some large, vertical cracks affecting the 4x4 posts used on the deck and porch; some of the copper rod pickets decided on had popped out of their slots; there were some very rough areas on the 2x4s used to support the handrails that needed to be sanded prior to the deck getting painted; a composite toe board had bowed a bit and needed to be drilled down; and the door on the porch, due to the wet winter, had warped a bit, causing the latch to, well, not latch. When it did latch, it was catching just the very corner of the plastic handle, which was fraying and, basically, breaking off. Those were the issues we went to AD with in early February. We had to follow up with them a week or so later when we hadn't heard back from them, and at that point they said they would come out and correct the issues. They did send someone out a few days later, but he came out to assess the issues, not fix them. He did tell us that the cracks in the 4x4s were unavoidable 'checking' (industry term) that didn't pose any structural issues. For the remaining items, he took notes and photos of the problems, and told us that someone would be out either later that week or next week to fix the issues. However, no one ever came. We followed up a couple of times during the month of March, and didn't hear back at all. Fast forward to April, and we were finally told someone would come out and fix the problems. Dave showed up unannounced within a few days to make the corrections while I was on my way out the door. When I got back, he was gone. The problem was that he only fixed the copper pickets and the other issues remained. We contacted them, again, and they told us they would come back out. This time, Dave let us know when he was coming and I met him and told him what the issues were. He worked for a couple hours and fixed all of the issues to our satisfaction. We are quite happy with the work that was done and have been enjoying our new deck and porch. The main issue with AD was communication. I understand these types of companies have a very small office staff, and the administrative items are the ones that suffer. But to leave us in the dark for weeks on end and not clear visits with us first turned out to be our largest issue in dealing with them. We would have been fine had we just received an email saying, "We are swamped here, and appreciate your patience. We'll keep you posted, but will try to have someone out on X-date." To have 2 months go between us contacting them about relatively small issues to getting those issues corrected was just disappointing. That said, we are planning on having our fence re-done soon, and AD will definitely be on the list for that job due to the quality of work on the deck, though we will get other quotes as well.

These guys are great. I met with Rod at my home to go over my plans. He suggested some changes from my plans which came out very nice. Marco and his team showed up the day we planned, and knocked out the project in 5 days. After production members from their team followed up and came out on site to verify all went well. Very nice crew and great craftsmanship. In my plans I wanted to install a ceiling mount for my TV but I was concerned about the weight since we were using cedar wood. Marco went out of his way and installed extra support inside my ceiling for my TV. I would definitely recommend these guys for your project.

Atlanta Decking and Fencing were chosen after talking to 4 other companies. We were immediately impressed with their knowledge and recommendations over the other companies - not to mention the price. They were able to start early and did a FABULOUS job. The workmanship and craft WAY exceeded our expectations! Their team was great and was able to answer any questions we had. We hope to hire them for other projects in the future and HIGHLY recommend these folks. When you spend this kind of money you want to know you got your money's worth, and we did in spades. They are the BEST!

Angie spent plenty of time with me to go over what I wanted prior to giving an estimate which was very much in line with others that I received. Work started a little later than expected, but not much, and partly due to weather. Once begun, it progressed nicely. They promise the crew only works on my job until finished, and that seemed to be true. The workmanship is outstanding. In a follow up call, William spent plenty of time with me going over finishing advice, which I plan to do myself. I'm very happy with my new deck.

Better than I expected. Atlanta Decking and Fence was responsive, came out right away to do an estimate. Explained what they would do and how the process works. I met with Angie and she was great. She explained the extras that we could add without pressure to add them. I received an estimate the next day and we agreed to the contract. We thought we would have to wait a few weeks, but they had a gap in their schedule so they were able to squeeze our job in (small by their standards) about a week later. The workers showed up promptly and a supervisor looked in to make sure everything was going well. They finished the job in 2 days. We only have to have the roof on the grill cover installed and then wait a few weeks to get it stained. The deck is 100 times better than the builder installed deck that came with the house. They used diagonal boards and we opted for the copper pickets. The work is exceptional and very clean. The deck looks great and feels very sturdy. Our old deck squeaked so much and the stairs were dangerous, it is so nice having a new sturdy deck. The cost was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Atlanta Decking and Fence and would use them again.
