"Hi Tamiko! Thank you for your review. 15+ years ago when you were sold the system you were given the choice between a backwashing system (which you chose) and a non-backwashing system. During the sales call and installation you were shown where the discharge water would be going, which also happens to be the only place the discharge water had to go with the way your home is plumbed. We have the original signed contract that states where the discharge water was routed to and that you received and reviewed the system operation and maintenance information. You were also given an owners manual at time of installation explaining the system and how it works and the maintenance needed (carbon media needs to be replaced every 5 years). In the 15+ years you only had it serviced/rebeded by us once before your service call this week, despite multiple reminders through the years. We asked you over the phone to check 2 things with your system but you declined saying you were too busy. You were told it would be a service call to send someone out and you scheduled a service call. The technician serviced your system (set the time - which was hours off and causing the system to backwash (discharge water) at the wrong time of day, they tested the water, checked control operations and backwashed your system). Your 15+ year old system was still working properly, except the time of day was extremely off. Your walkway had no considerable damage. The technician noted that other concrete in and around your driveway (away from the backwash area) has multiple cracks and sinking issues which is not uncommon for a home that is 25+ years old. "
