Gutters Plus Remodeling

Hired Cutters Plus Remodeling, owner Randal Rue to remove a fence that was falling down and install a new one only make it approx 8 feet longer. He gave me a price of $1000 and I agreed to that. He came to me and said he had no money on him and would I give him partial payment to buy supplies. Since he had his wife with him I figured he would show trust and good faith and do the job. Boy was I wrong. He started the job and again asked for more money to but more wood and paint to finish the job. Showing trust and good faith I gave him the balance I owed. That was March 20 & 21, 2013. The job was started and two days later they were still working on it. Didn't see them again until April 9 he dropped off one person to paint the fence and he went to Atlanta to help a buddy, then Flowery Branch and Tommy Arron Road to do jobs. I had to buy more paint because he didn't buy any and what I had wasn't enough. Said he would come on April 16, didn't come and didn't call. I called and was told his son was supposed to have been there, but he told them not to come and not to call me as he didn't want him to have to deal with me. Said he would finish on April 19, it rained and he never called to reschedule. Never heard from him again. I called on Thursday May 9 and was told he was in Tennessee doing a remodel job at a 90 room motel and would be here on Monday May 13. He called on May 13 at 10:17 AM and said he would be here that afternoon and finish the job. He not only needs to paint but replace boards that he cut too short and have big gaps. He never came and again didn't call. Now he doesn't answer the phone when I call. I guess a lawyer and court will be next. I am tired of waiting. The job should have been done within one week. As of this day June 10, 2013 the fence still is not completed. I have to hire someone else to redo the eyesore I now have. My neighbors don't like looking at it. I tried to take him to court to get my money back and I received a notice from the Deputy Sheriff that said he moved and left no forwarding address. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. The following Member Comments is from someone else and who added it here.
