Done Deals

I went to Done Deals with my Dixie Chopper mower to get the electric lift deck repaired. He required me to give him $500.00 to order a new actuator motor. He never ordered it and said he would work with the old motor and save me the money on a new one. He didn't give me an estimate or time of completion. This went on for three weeks with me calling almost everyday to see what the status was and was told by the mechanic that the boss was not there and would probably be in that evening as he's working other jobs during the day. His wife the secretary was rarely there to inquire any information. His child was seen by my wife and I climbing on my mower like it was a toy. The mower had a pin that set the deck as to how low it would go. That pin was gone on the day my mower was finished. Both front tires were weather eaten and leaking air according to the mechanic. The mower is only two and a half years old. From where the wheels were taken off and placed back on, grass trimmings were stuck between the nut and washer. As far as I'm concerned, he ripped me off, overcharged me, was negligent, imcompetent and dragged me for three weeks on the mower repair. I contacted a landscaper to have my lawn mowed and weed eaten since it had grown to thigh level. This report should speak for itself. He also told me I owed him a great deal more on the repair due his long lasting labor and having to answer the phone to answer my questions. I should have been wary when he asked for money up front. This individual is not to be trusted and I sincerely hope he gets not one more customer to do this to.
