TOM WAGNER PAINTING

Tom came out and gave us a quote a few months prior. I called him and he came out a few days later to start. He provides all paint, materials, etc. One thing he does that many painters do not do is that he caulks EVERY crack and crevice before he starts. He used 7 tubes of caulk in our great room and hallway! He works alone to ensure that the quality remains consistent. He likes to use paint manufactured by a local, family owned company called Shubert Paint. Their paint is super durable and of excellent quality. Unless you MUST have a certain paint, allow Tom to have your color matched by Shubert and use their paint. Tom worked for 5 days arriving every morning around 7:45 and we left him alone in our home with no concerns for security or safety. He does an excellent job and is a man of integrity. When he completed our project, we paid him what we had agreed upon and he has never asked for any money prior to completing the job. You will do yourself a favor by calling Tom Wagner if you have any painting that needs to be professionally done, either inside or out.

He used poor quality rollers because they left residue and fuzz from them on the walls. I only saw him with one drop-cloth that was about the size of a twin bed. Consequently we had small paint splatters on the new carpet and new hardwood floors where they was no drop cloth. There was green paint on ivory carpet. He did not sand or repair any of the walls he just painted over it, even where the wallpaper removal had taken out pieces of drywall. It needed minor mudding and sanding. He had no respect for my home. I come home by myself late at night and the doors would be unlocked, and one time the French doors were not only unlocked but left open. My husband told him we were very disappointed and Tom wanted to come and see what was wrong, however I did not want him in my home any longer and he never called to make any resolution. It was an enormous job for the person who repaired the work.

This is the second time we have had the pleasure to use Tom Wagner to paint our home. Our house is all siding and his fee was very reasonable. What made us use him to paint our house twice? Without question it is the quality of his work and his work ethic. He carefully pressure washed the house (and patio and porch, etc!) to get it ready for painting. He spent two days caulking the entire exterior and then started on the paint. His price includes all paint and materials and he recommends Shubert Paints which is a family owned business in Stone Mountain. Their paint is of superior quality and we have purchased from them ourselves since being introduced to their company. He uses a brush to paint the entire exterior of our house! No rollers and no spraying! It may take a little longer but he does not ask for any money until he is finished and you are satisfied. What a class act and excellent service! Call Tom for a quote.
