DICKERSON AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR

Took truck in for a hesitation problem while driving down the road. Asked for them to price a tune up and possible replacement of 'coil pacs'. Received call later and was advised I needed a new timing chain. Went to the shop and found my vehicle with the front end of the engine disassembled. I asked why they took it apart without calling me and they advised they 'heard' a noise in the front of the engine so they took it apart so they could advised me of the problems. I asked about cost... They advised they could put truck back together for $1,500.00 (without any repairs) or they could replace the chains and put back together for Approx. $1,800.00. Since I was going to have to spend that amount I advised for them to replace the timing chains. When I picked up the truck they advised they also replaced a couple of 'coil pac' and completed a tune-up on the truck, the total bill was over $2,600.00. Left very unhappy.... In three weeks I had to return the truck due to rough idling and poor performance. When I returned to the shop we also found a part missing from the oil dip stick holder causing the dipstick to be loose and almost out of the engine block. Will give credit to the owner that day... He did repair the problems at no cost... But I had already spent over $2,600.00 with his company. Now, a couple of months later, I have a noise from the engine compartment, front end, that I am looking for another repair shop to look at. I will not return the Dickerson's Automotive.

We had AAA tow vehicle to garage at recommendation of neighbor.  The garage called the next morning with the needed repairs priced out.  Vehicle needed major tune up, oil change and lube.  The major tune up and the repair was completed during that day. Very fast.

Good job, they diagnosed problem and replaced a coil and the crank-sensor. Car was ready in the timeframe they indicated at price they quoted. It?s been a few weeks and no further problems. I am very happy with the results and the experience. While not the cheapest in town, they were fair in their pricing. They have a quality operation, and guarantee their work and will stand by that.

I've used them before. They are reliable and they do quality work. I've never had to have anything redone. I always get the car back when they say and it is generally the same day. They are very friendly. It is a guy place and women don't clean there. The man told me that he is not the cheapest in town but he does good work. I knew that upfront and I went for the quality. It is the only place that I take my car.

I moved in to the area 2 years ago and have been through a couple of places in that time and have really settled in to Dickerson Automotive in the last 18 months. Their service has been great and even at a little higher price, I would still recommend them with the quality of work that they do. I am always informed of everything needed for the car. Even if I drop it off and leave it and something out side of the service I requested shows up I get a call regarding it before they make a move which I really enjoy. Overall I have no complaints and will use them again.

We learned about Dickerson Automotive Repair from our neighbors twelve years ago. We use them for our routine maintenance on all of our cars. We are very pleased with their work. Their prices are very reasonable and they were very honest.
