Cortez's Helping Hands

I cannot begin to say enough about the outstanding job that Cortez's helping hands did on my move. Professional, helpful, and safe with all of my wife's valuables. They took great care of all the furniture, boxes by wrapping and moving with care. They were on time and needed no coaching to get them to work. They came in surveyed the house and went from there. They packed the truck and then followed me to the new house and unloaded everything to its rightful place. The only issue that arose was that from the very first call I had with Cortez's I asked if they accepted Credit Cards and was told it would be no problem. However, when I attempted to pay with the card at the end of the move I was told he needed cash. Since I do not carry this much cash with me they followed me to the local ATM. Though this was not what I expected it is not enough for me to not want to use Cortex's. i would have just preferred to be prepared in the first place. Thank you Cortez's I would certainly use you again.

The first day was supposed to be packing. They arrived on time but did not get all of the packing done as expected. I should have known something was amiss when the crew did not know how to assemble the boxes... They worked for maybe 9 hours- 1:00 until approx. 10 pm that day, still not finishing the packing up of my 3 BR 2 1/2 bath home as planned. The 2nd day was a whole different crew of guys. Cortez said it would only be another one and 1/2 hours to finish the job, (after coming back to the house, looking around- but leaving the crew alone to finish)-- which was important, as my contract said I had to be out of my house by 12 noon. I kept stressing to Cortez the importance of the 12 o'clock deadline. Started around 9:30 or 10- they were still there at 2 o'clock trying to finish loading the truck! Didn't even know how to get the refrigerator out of the kitchen- took it apart then put it together again- I ended up selling it to the new owner for next to nothing! They didn't label any of the boxes- which were put together wrong so some of them fell apart- they put books into medium and large boxes, just left a bed frame propped against a dresser, even after I asked the movers TWICE to put it on the floor and put the mattress on it. Damaged my dining room table, a wall, several kitchen items (coffee cups, etc.) by obviously not caring about what they were doing. The house also could not have been cleaned much due to the late departure, but I paid for a house cleaning too. It was an awful day with them..... The second day of moving his guys were clearly unhappy with Cortez and taking great pleasure in hearing me fuss at him for all of the issues we were having. They were telling me the names of what they called much better moving companies and telling me they would never work for him again. For all of my complaints, I believe I received 2 hours off of my moving bill. I do NOT- CAN NOT recommend this company.

They took care of furniture perfectly. They asked for a reasonable price.

It went very well. If I asked not to touch certain items such as my jewelry boxes or my safes because my husband and I would be responsible for handling those items ourselves Mr. Cortez complied with great manners and did as was asked.

It went better than I expected. I honestly did not want to get movers but I am glad I did. They went above and beyond with everything. I would recommend them to anyone. They definitely will be moving every time I ever move. Thank you Kortez.

The move wasn't a easy move I had flight of stairs and a lot of heavy dressers and cabinets, but cortez and his workers were easy to talk to and very professional to deal with they started up stairs and worked there through the house I was very impressed with the pace they worked at and even more impressed on how fast they loaded the truck. He moved me out of state to Virginia and the price was well in my range unlike other companies sometimes be too expensive. When we arrived at my destination I just knew things had broken and shifted around but to my appeal they were not and nothing had moved. I highly recommend anybody that's moving a long distance call Cortez's Helping Hand you won't be let down.
