"Alberto with AB landscaping came by and gave me a quote for the landscaping work that included some slight grading of my back yard and installing Bermuda sod. We ordered the sod and the day before it was delivered Alberto and his crew came by and completed the grading work and returned the next day and layed the sod. Great job AB landscaping my backyard looks great. Thank you for a job well done"

"They gave an estimate on Monday and completed the job ahead of schedule on Saturday. I am very satisfied with the retaining wall they built and the restoration of the yard that had suffered erosion. Very considerate workers. Will definitely use them in the future."

"This young man did a wonderful job with my yard. I asked and I received exceptional service. Great customer service. He responded back in a timely manner. We scheduled the appointment for 10am and he was there 15 mins earlier. I’ve used him on numerous occasions and he has done great every 2 weeks that he comes. I’m so glad that he finally walked out in faith and started his own business."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.

On the other hand, mature trees produce fruit faster and provide more shade and privacy immediately. Ideally, a small or medium tree is the better choice if you can wait a few years for it to mature. But if you need immediate maturity, a larger tree is the only option.

Many people have used old tires in gardens as raised beds, planters, tree rings, and DIY decor. However, these uses are not recommended due to the toxicity of many of the chemicals used to manufacture tires. These chemicals can leach into the soil and water as the tire breaks down, creating environmental pollution and health hazards for gardeners and their families.

In most cases, buying plants from a local greenhouse or nursery is well worth the investment, even though they tend to be a bit more expensive than those at a home improvement store. Employees at nurseries are usually well-versed in gardening and understand how the climate in your area affects different plants. They can help you make selections based on your skill level and time commitment to your landscaping, and they can provide detailed care instructions and advice to help keep your plants alive and diagnose and treat issues like pest infestation and illness.

Multiple rules of thumb exist when discussing tree planting. When planting a tree, the best rule of thumb is to provide it with everything it needs to survive and thrive in its new environment. That may mean learning about the type of tree you're planting and studying the best methods of taking care of it before purchasing and planting.

You can fill the holes weeds leave behind with soil or sand to avoid unsightly spots or tripping hazards. If you remove weeds from a grassy area, fill the hole with soil and grass seed, and water regularly to promote grass growth.
