After numerous plumbing problems with an old, leaky tub in our upstairs (main floor) bathroom, we called a plumber to fix the leak and Harris Tile was suggested as an alternate tile contractor as the original contractor we had in mind was out of town and time was of the essence ... when Mr Harris came to our house, he quoted a price and seemed reasonably competent to complete the task at hand ... however, issues soon arose particularly with the floor tile installation ... I purchased the tile myself and they were not low quality ... when Mr Harris finished the job, several of the floor tiles were cracked and he was asked to return to repair the problem ... he seemed confused that we had a problem since the cracked tiles were 1) around the toilet water line and 2) around the floor vent ... said he was having trouble cutting the tiles to make them fit without the tiles cracking ... we assumed since he advertised himself as a "tile" contractor he certainly should know what he was doing and how to install tiles around fixtures ... apparently not ... he took 3 tiles up and replaced them and left (we were working outside at the time) and when we returned to the house and saw the tiles replaced and cracked again, we called him back the 3rd time and this time he brought his father who was also supposed to be a "tile" person to "help" ... cracks again and I finally had him cut and lay the tiles in a kind of square mosaic pattern just to have him finish and get rid of him ... meanwhile, we had not been able to shower in the bathroom because we had to stay off the floor ... when we were able to get back into the bathroom and shower in the completely tiled shower stall Mr Harris had constructed; it leaked, uneven tiles on floor and 1 side wall of shower and was generally a shoddy installation ... he blamed the leak on the plumber (excellent plumber, always good work he does, never other problems) ... fast forward to current time, since the Harris installation, we have had to replace the entire shower stall and we are now replacing all the flooring Mr Harris installed due to the numerous cracked and loose tiles ... a very, very sloppy shoddy job he did ... would not recommend him for anyone to have in their home ... he is no craftsman ... let the buyer beware ...
Description of Work: Installed a tile shower stall in main bathroom to replace an old tub and installed a tile floor in same bathroom
