Service tech very friendly and helpful... Will use again.

My lawn was a little shabby when they first started. I had more weeds than I realized, and when they first started, it got real brown and didn't look real good. But we stuck with them and now, it looks awesome.

Used their service for over a year, until the bushes began to die.  It looked like they didn't know how to keep weed killer from hitting the bushes, so we cancelled the service.  Even though the service was cancelled, they continued to send the truck out and then bill us for it!  We repeatedly called and told them to stop the service and they would say ok, and then the truck would return anyway.  Then we started getting collection calls about the bills for the service AFTER the service was cancelled!

After finally clearing up the bills and making sure they understood that the service was cancelled, they informed us that the truck would be RETURNING NEXT WEEK!!  We had to get ugly with them to finally get them to GO AWAY. 

Our neighbor told us that she had the same experience with them.   It seems like a racket.

When Southern Lawns was bought out by TruGreen, the quality of work went downhill....QUICKLY.  And the condition of my lawn regressed just as quickly.  I used Sothern Lawns/Trugreen for 14 years total.  The last 2 years was a total waste of money.

The technicians would be punctual but their product had very little affect, weed or fertilizer. Terrible results, yard never had a healthy color and weeds seemed to flourish. I made many complaints and so-called managers would respond. All were apologetic and said they would correct the problems. Never happened! Canceled TRU-Green Spring of 2013. Hired new company and my yard is finally right!

Promised  things and did not deliver, stating that they were under new management. They made an appointment to address my concerns, but never showed up and never called. I was patient for 3 years, believing their promises. I never write bad reviews, but my experience with this company was terrible. Marketing was great. Results were very disappointing.

They do a really nice job. My grass is green and they keep the weeds at bay. The people are really nice and knowledgeable.

We've used them for a long time. We were very satisfied with their service. Anytime we have a problem or question or concern with what they put on the grass, we call them. They get right back with us. They are very responsive.

We continued the service as it was used on our home before purchasing it. Will never use again

My technician was excellent.  My only problem is with customer service.  It is almost impossible to talk to sombody in the local office - you are generally transferred to a regional phone center. The price is a little higher than average.

Impossible to reach their 800 "customer support" number. Busy helping serve other customers, put you on hold for 15 or 20 minutes then cut you off." New service" 800 numbers answer promptly but can't help.  I tried for several days to pay online my $39.00 bill but the website would not confirm payment or send a confirmation email as it said it would.  After trying to get them on the phone for several days I gave up and mailed them a check. After a few days both the online payment and check cleared the bank within 2 days.  After giving up on the 800 number. I tried the local office dozens of times ( that number usually rolls over to the 800 number) I was able to reach someone locally 3 times and they assured me I had been credited on my account and a refund was in the mail, that was almost a month ago and I have not received it. They have the worst customer service of any one I have ever experienced.  The website is terrible, gives no way to email, only the to two 800 numbers. 

I canceled my service and would not recommend them to anyone!


7/5/2012. The $39.00 check for my overpayment which has been in the mail since June 2nd still has not been received. I have spoken to them at least twice a week and always the same story.

I like the way my yard looks. There was a little communication problem one time but other than that it's been fine.

They noticeably messed up our lawn so I don't use them anymore. We had problems getting messages from them and I feel they lied to us. I will not use them again in the future.

I tried to cancel my services with them but they have come back to do various things in my yard twice.

On another occasion, we hired them specifically to airate our yard and they did not come at the appointed time, and they also didn't do the job very well, and had to come back and do it again.  They tried to charge me for the 2nd trip but they credited it instead.

Their lawn care service is great...However since they took over from Southern lawn...if there is a problem with billing you are dealing with Trugreen in Louisville Ky and Columbus Ga....not just Columbus...Sometimes a communication problem
