CUT down and removed parts (selected parts of trees were kept for use as sculpture materials) of two huge trees, both trees had impinged on roof and were extremely close to the house with one in danger of damaging the foundation and the other directly over the water line into the house. They chipped most of the cedar, and saved the parts of the oak for firewood that we did not keep.

They also removed numerous "trash" trees from areas where we will now plant 'real' trees. Am not sure how they managed it, but they removed one of those trash trees from the MIDDLE of a very large camellia bush without damaging the bush.
A great big thanks for their taking those huge heavy pieces of cedar and oak trunks and logs into our back yard for later carving without extra charge. They were very competent and professional, even though the job turned into two days there were no extra charges. When it rained they kept working through the shower without complaint or slowing. I think that their price was a bargain especially since there were 4 sometimes 5 workers involved and at one point I counted 5 various trucks and one chipper.

When they take down a tree from our property, and once they leave we can't even tell that they have ever been there or the tree has ever been there. They have been in business for about 50 years. It is a family owned and operated business. They are all very, very professional. When the city of Columbus' tree service department gets into a mess that they can't straighten out, they call Tefft's. They have a tremendous reputation here locally. But I don't know if they will charge the same for the general public or not; we are not related but we just have a good relationship with them. They reward us good service at reasonable prices. Their availability depends upon what has happened here locally weather-wise. They take us on a call basis; whoever calls first like a first come first serve basis. It is a problem sometimes, because they are good and everybody wants to use them.
