This is long but if you even for one second consider using them - you might want to read this. We had a small water leak under our kitchen cabinet January 15th 2023. USAA suggested Servpro of Columbus. Having been with USAA for 20+ years without issues - we didn’t think twice and got in touch. Our first mistake! Mediation was done quickly and then there was no contact or any communication or a clear timeline. One morning we had a knock on our door to find 2 guys claiming to be here to tear our wood floor out. We did not let them in and called and told Servpro to inform them that this just isn’t how this was going to work. We then got a project manager, Jonathan. We got some explanations and were sent to Home Depot to pick out new flooring (still confused how we had to go instead of being provided samples). We were told he “had a guy” that could match our kitchen cabinet that needed replacing instead of tearing the whole kitchen out. Workers came a few days later to tear the floor out. He didn’t have equipment to do it and had to go rent it (HUGE red flag in hindsight but we never dealt with anything like this and just didn’t know. They left huge chunks of glue and even wood on the floor that I unfortunately never got images of. They damaged walls and kitchen cabinets with the machine when taking out the floor. You can see in the photos how they thought the baseboards and quarter round should look. It looks like this through the whole first floor. Uneven beyond belief. Every single baseboard is uneven and has paint drips. They did NOT wipe down anything from the huge mess created by taking the floor out before they started painting. Every single baseboard, window frame, fireplace, door frame has wood dirt and particles painted into it. The carpet had paint drips on it, the new wood floor had paint on it (which they removed but it left the floor dull). They also got paint on our TV and when made aware of that - they used a razor blade to get it off which resulted into the TV screen to get scratched up. Nothing was covered before they started painting. At this point we are mid April. We noticed our living room floor was wet. Quickly realizing it came from the water spout that’s on the wall outside they repeatedly used. When calling Jonathan he told us we will have to just get a plumber and that it was not on his workers. After reviewing security camera footage we saw them using our water hose and “pulling” it tightly. The last straw was our kitchen cabinet being delivered - probably a good 4 weeks after we were promised it would be here). Not only was it far from a match but it was made from a different wood (which partially explains that it wouldn’t match). Jonathan was made aware of each issue throughout. We were done! USAA sent out an independent adjuster. He kept shaking his head and told us this was probably one of the worse jobs he has seen. Our new floor was already separating in places, was uneven, had a ton of hollow spots (they never prepped the cement before laying the new floor). After a LONG battle with a company USAA uses (a contract Connections) Servpro was found at fault for all items. They did not get paid and had to pay us for damages (the water hose leak, the TV, getting new baseboards and door/window frames and lots more). I am not going into the huge amount of other issues like cracking our granite counters, never being on time, awful communication, their contractors driving across our yard (we have a sprinkler system), washing their paintbrushes in our sink when repeatedly being told we are on a septic system and paint can’t go into it, and just in general being very unpleasant to deal with. And lots more small issues that all added up to a disaster. I have not had a functional kitchen since March. This sorry excuse of a company has ruined more than just our first floor. We were finally able to get a new company and I HIGHLY recommend Southeast Restoration. They will treat you right. Since my first phone call to them it has been night and day.

This has been the most terrible experience of my life. Started project in July and although other things were found during renovation, there were extremely high levels of unprofessionalism such as PM complaining to me about their own contractors, the contractors not showing up when scheduled, Contractor stating how comany lies to customers and ai found some inconsistent info on my own and proof in text msgs photos. Company Owner would not return my call when I asked several times for a call back. Their contractors disrespected my space as if its a flip house and I wasn't home (used my bathroom and went into my fridge), did very poor job with the work that was actually done and they refused to cover my belongs although I asked several times. I have lived in mounds of dust for 3 months and everything I own has dust on it. The camel's back was broken when I almost broke my own back. After asking the PM many times to have the contractors remove their things from my covered back porch, seeing my house isn't the storage or junk yard, I fell one afternoon while trying to get into my house. I fell over several things belonging to contractors scraping my knee, wrist, chin and knuckles and I am 50! I have journal entries text messages along with timeline photos of everything including poor craftsmanship, poop in my toilet bowl and dirty hand print in my fridge. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. If you have no male present in your home to defend you, go far away from this mess.

The previous owners of our house had several cats that left pet stains on some of our carpeting. After closing on what seemed to be our perfect home, the empty house wreaked of cat urine, and upset my wifes allergies so bad that we had to have the carpets cleaned before moving in.  We bought a carpet cleaning deal from Angie's List.  The technician that serviced our home arrived on time and immediately began discussing with us the rooms we needed to have cleaned along with any concerns we may have had regarding drying times, chemicals, expectations, etc.  The technician spent a great deal of time trying to remove the stains and while some of the many stains may have been removed unfortunately the majority were just too set in.  The house smelled cleaner shortly after he left but some of the smells were found to come from other rooms that were not carpeted and those too required deep cleaning.  Unfortunately our carpet was not salvageable but having it cleaned gave us peace of mind, and bought us time before having the carpet replaced.  My wife's allergies would have definitely been worse had we not had the carpet cleaned.  We have no regrets with our SERVPRO experience and would hire them again should we need to have our carpets cleaned.

Response from Servpro
"Servpro dried the floors properly and documented all drying standards. The insurance company will not pay for work not completed. The estimate that the insurance company approved was $919.00. Ms. [Member Name Removed] claims we broke the knob on her dresser. We responded promptly by sending a furniture repair company to her property to repair the knob. Under no circumstance do we "do the minimum". The knob was reported after the drying was completed. This knob was found in an area where drying equipment was not placed. We stepped up and took it upon ourselves to offer a repair company which deals only with furniture. We will never request one of our homeowners to sign a check without all work being completed. The knob was repaired and she completed a Certificate of Satisfaction ("COS") - which she signed - she gave Servpro one 8 and the rest were 10s. Ten being the highest available score. These scores go directly to the insurance company. We have the signed "COS" to upload for any person's review."

Today, I had two workers from Servpro come to my house to clean my furniture. It was a sofa, loveseat, and oversized chair. They were on time, even early. Both guys were very polite and nice as could be. Before they started, they told me what they were doing and what they were using. They were very efficient and the job was done well. They didnt waste any time and got right to work. I would recommend them to anyone who needs furniture cleaned
