I had told him I hate layers and didn't want them, because I flat out don't know how to style them and have no talent for it. He cut my hair in layers. A LOT of layers. I had told him I was wanting to go blond, but knew it would take more than 1 treatment (I was brunette). I advised him that I detest highlights because they look like stripes and are almost never natural looking. Instead of an overall color on my hair, he foiled and highlighted me all over!
When I was done it looked okay but I wasn't sure, and Wendell suggested I give it a few days, since it was a drastic change. After one week I was miserable. I contacted him on Facebook and told him I really wanted the overall color, and while yes he offered to correct the issue, I felt like he tried to justify the highlights - he told me how an overall color would have roots quicker and it wouldn't look right. But I walked out of that salon with roots that day!
I called to make an appointment but nothing was available for almost a month, even though I told the girl on the phone that it was a correction and Wendell knew about it. My husband was also rather upset by this time, because this had been a gift from him - and now it was $150 wasted.
I never went back, and just corrected the color myself. The cut I have spent the last year growing out layers that I never wanted.
Do watch to make sure they are not using the same stick for waxing more than once.
Dont let them dye your hair without putting a blocker on.
"I am truly sorry for your inconvenience and after speaking with Candy, we are both very willing to correct this shortcoming. We offer a satisfaction guarantee on all our services and appreciate feedback in regards to services rendered so we can make each visit more pleasurable for out guests. It is also a rule at our salon not to reuse any wax sticks and my greatest support for this rule is Candy. Feel free to call anytime. Thank-you for your time. Wendell"
"I am so sorry for the confusion, i'm not sure what service you are talking about because our haircuts aren't that price. We would love to talk about this more to straighten out this misunderstanding."
my husband and i just moved to fort benning, so because i am new around here and VERY particular about my hair, i did my fair share of research and ended up at salon bellage.
first off, if you are using a gps or mapquest to find the salon for the first time you will land at the old address. i had to call the salon to get directions, and find out that i hade to travel back the way i originally came :/
when you first walk in, you are greeted and then directed to a waiting area. the waiting area is literally the middle of the room, where everybody can see you. on one hand it is nice, because while you wait, you can watch everybody, but at the same time you might have to endure some stares. i have no confidence issues, however, during my more than 30 min. wait (not includng the 10-15 min. i arrived before my scheduled time) i got stared down pretty bad... i was told later that it was because of my hairstyle and that several stylists were hoping that i was their client because my hair is so and quot;funand quot;... anyway, when i was finally shampooed and sitting in the chair, i watched candy cut my hair and saw that she was taking some of my and quot;wantsand quot; and fullfilling them, but forgot the main part where i said i need it SHORTER, a lot shorter and THINNED OUT. i have thick, full hair. a lot of it. my faux-hawk ended up being trimmed at the top, with a line up around the edges and ears. i left the store with $40.50 less in my pocket (would have been $45.00, but got a military discount) and didnt actually realize how bad my hair was until i got home and colored it. so, after the holiday weekend passed, i gave the salon a call and advised them of my issue. they fit me in that same day, and candy corrected it at no charge.
