After repeated dealings with Energy Savers for about 10 years, to include their yearly service on the heat pump, it seemed as if the house was never cooling down, and after the last servicing of the unit, I had lost my faith, not to mention the replacement of the heat exchanger. My call to Robert Cook resulted from the last yearly service, or so-called" yearly service " from Energy Savers. See pictures under their write up and decide for yourself...I thought I'd try someone new, and after seeing his many positive reports, was fortunate to have made the right decision. He came directly, explained the problem, had the problem fixed and for the first time in ages my house was actually much cooler than it had been in the past. He was informative, professional, personable and the quality of work speaks for itself. He installed a 1/4 hp fan motor on the unit. I could not have been more pleased with the work, and the results...

On the positive side:
- Called at approximately 5pm, and they responded quickly- were at our house within approximately 30-45 minutes.
- Price seemed reasonable.
- The installer was very friendly and seemed to be honest.
- The work was done quickly and professionally.
On the negative side:
- The installer said he would inspect our furnace for us once the gas was turned on. I called him to let him know it was turned on, and he gave us a time that he would be at our house. Unfortunately, he never showed up or called back.
- We never got a receipt from the company showing work performed other than our credit card slip. This might cause a problem if we ever need warranty work, because the CC slip only shows the dollar amount charged, and the name of the supply company where the A/C unit and coil were purchased.
- I had to give very detailed directions to our house, as the installer seemed unfamiliar with our area. This was somewhat frustrating, as we recently moved here, and weren't familiar with the area ourselves.
Overall, we were pleased, but things could've been better.

Robert came to my apartment complex and installed a new system in one of the units. He also repaired an old problem that my previous contractor had overlooked. I will continue to use him to service all the units. He came out on Wednesday, made his estimate, then arrived on time on Thursday and did the work and charged me exactly what he said he would. He even cleaned up after himself!

One month after his work is completed, I am still bothered by one thing in particular: I never saw this man until it was time to pay him.
I had called him because of the ratings he received on Angie's list and explained the problems I was having with my heat pump. Over the phone, he considered what could be wrong with it, gave me an estimate, and stated he would be at the house on the following day to take a look at the heat pump. I told him to give me a call whenever he started to my house as I wanted to meet him there. Instead, he showed up that very same night and looked at it while I wasn't home and called me to state he would come again the next day. That was okay because he explained he was trying to make sure he'd be ready with whatever he needed the next day.
But, I asked him again to tell me whenever he was heading to the house the next day, because, again, I wanted to be there. He did not. He went to my house, repaired the heatpump from the outside of my house and called to tell me he was finished. I was very uncomfortable with that but I went ahead and caught up to him to pay him. Then, I rushed over to my house to see if the heatpump was working. It was WORKING. Whew!

Great experience and value. I called them at about 10:30 Saturday morning. They were here at 11am, diagnosed the problem, made the necessary repairs and were finished by noon. Price was very reasonable. These are great technicians, even though they don't have the professional uniforms with name tags on their shirts!

He answered the phone personally. He made time for me the same day which was much appreciated since it was my day off. He came over checked out the thermostat on the wall then went into the attic and checked out the unit. He made some adjustments and it was fixed. He was great with suggestions. We plan to use him in the future regarding some of his suggestions. This is knowledgeable company and very professional. Highly suggest this service company.

I called around 11:30 and they told me they would be out between 12:15-12:30. They showed up on time and went right to the A/C unit. The only thing I didn't really like is that they weren't letting me know everything they were doing. I went outside to see what was going on and they had the capacitor out and showed me that it was not working. They replaced the capacitor and added a little freon. They didn't charge me full price on the freon since they were already replacing another part.

My air completely quit and the house was smoky and smelly. Called these guys and they were out to check the system within three hours. They immediately identified a burned out motor. Since it was so late in the day, he left with the broken part and promised to be back the next day. We did without air that night. By nine the next morning he appeared with a new motor. The new motor was installed, freon added and they hung around for about twenty minutes making sure everything was cooling properly. About thirty minutes after they left, there was a loud "popping" noise and the smell was back. I called them immediately. They asked me to shut down the system, told me they were twenty miles away but were turning around and coming straight back. They did! Turns out the motor they installed was faulty and had to be replaced by the vendor. They had a new motor installed within a couple of hours and hung around again, even longer, just to be sure. Two days later (I had been out of town), I called to let them know the system was running constantly even when it wasn't cooling. They were here within a couple of hours and tracked down a faulty relay which they replaced. The system is working fine and, thru all this, I had only the one $75 service charge and the cost of the first motor. A really appreciate their response and commitment to a final resolution.
