They matched the existing flooring very well and you can't tell the new finish from the existing finish. They were punctual and attentive to detail.

We were very disappointed in our decision to use McDaniel Flooring. They came highly recommended to us from our Real Estate agent. While we were doing some basic work to the "fixer upper" we recently bought we contacted them to refinish our hardwood floors. The house has approximately 2000 sq ft of hardwood. From the very beginning, we had issues with this company. It took us several weeks and several phone calls to get a correct estimate and an approximate date in which they could start work. We were told that this is not typical and we were working with Chris who told us this was a family business and that both of his parents were in the hospital which was delaying everything. For us, that was perfectly understandable, so we continued to try to get them into the house to do our floors. The timeline continued to get pushed. It seemed that there was some sort of delay every time we tried to get him to start work. He said he would have the wood dropped off one day and when we look at the house, the wood wasn't there. Then the timeline pushed so far to the right, it happened to be at a time me and my husband were away on business (we would have been there the whole time under the original timeline). Work started out well (on 16 MAR), until he asked for someone to look at and approve the stain. I specifiacally stated to him that i wanted to approve the stain and that since i was out of town I would need him to send me a picture of it. He never sent a picture - and in fact never bothered to call me back either. When I was finally able to get ahold of him, he had already stained and put the first coat of poly on the floors. We had told him that he needed to be done by APR 1st at the very latest because our lease was up and had to move in. He was not completed, especially with the upstairs attic part. When I finally returned to Columbus and looked at the floors, the work was very well done but the color was horrendous! We had looked at a stain on hickory at the hardwood store and Chris had tried to match it on our oak floors, which was why it was so important for me to see the stain before he put it on everything. It was so bad, I called him up and told him that we were not happy with the way the floors turned out and that we needed to be done in a different stain. He talked to me and told me that he wasn't going to kill me on the price and said he would send an invoice that evening. No invoice came. In fact, we weren't able to get an invoice until 5 or 6 days later, where we discovered that he was charging us $5700 to redo the floors that could have been completely avoided had he just sent me a picture of the stain prior to doing all the floors. Furthermore, we had to go out of town on business again and was hoping that he could use that time to redo the floors. He told us he would be done Monday. When my husband returned on Thurs, nothing had been done at all, to include the upstairs which was supposed to be finished 2 weeks prior. In the last 3 days, they still have not yet finished sanding the floors and have been working an average of 1 hour every day. While they may do great work, this company has horrendous business practices. We are still considering not even having them finish the work, since the project might go for a full 2 months at this rate which is completely unacceptable (it is not 12 APR). Also, their prices are incredibly high - with those prices you deserve some sort of compliance to the timeline and at least some basic customer service.

They were just fine and I was very pleased. They were the lowest bid. They worked hard, were knowledgeable and everything turned out beautifully. They made sure everything was done the way it should be. They have done other things for me before and it has always been a great job.

From the time they came around nine and started working, went for a quick lunch, came back and was finished around 4:30 in the afternoon. They did a professional job, cleaned up, packed up, and left around 4:30. Overall, it was an outstanding job done.

They took all the furniture in and out. They moved everything. They took probably four or five days. I think they stared on Monday and put the furniture’s in on Friday. It was summer time and the doors were open and the fans were on so it dried nicely. It’s beautiful. I would call them to do the back hallway with the tile. I will have them refinish the rest of the floors when I get on to it. My overall experience was good. I would use them in the future.

They gave me a very acceptable price for doing the three coats of polyurethane and sanding. It includes taking out the carpet and doing away with it. I am paying them extra to move the heavy furniture. They have come out twice. They are on Angie?s List. They quoted me about $1750. I called them the second time to talk to them further about exactly how it would proceed since I am planning on using them. The guy came over and we talked about it. Then he left and I am going to call him today to see when he could start. I have to move the small stuff before he comes and moves the heavy furniture. Everything about them during the quoting process was excellent. I may use them again. In fact, I am also going to talk to them about finishing the rest of the floors.
The floors are finished and they look wonderful. The price did not include the strips around the sides of the wall at the floor so it was a little more, but I am well satisfied and will certainly ask them to work on my other floors.
You do have to call them to remind them when you are at the talking stage, but when it came to the work, they were there on time and finished when they said they would.

They did a great job. We needed the flooring color to match what was there and it does. (It looks better than what we had in the rest of the house but we're not complaining!) Very nice job, nice people.

I am glad i did not attempt the removal, it took a crew of 2, with 2 industrial sanders 2.5 days to get it all off. in the end, the wood was perfect and a beautiful finish to match the adjacent hardwood floor.
